Rockets Trajectory Set For Log Mountain

Records: Rock (5-1) | Bell (6-0)

BGP Rankings: Bell (#4 in 3A)

Week 6 Results: Rock beat Clay County | Bell beat McCreary Central

Series History: Bell County leads 25-10 all-time

Central Figures: Any talk surrounding Bell County begins and probably ends with the same name…

Daniel Thomas.

The Bobcats go as he goes. The state's leading ground gainer accounts for ⅔ of his team's offensive yardage and ¾ of their touchdowns.

Thomas is not alone at the top of the KHSAA stat sheets. Bell's Blake Burnett is tied for the 3A lead in interceptions with four aerial thefts.

Quarterback Tucker Warren, Christian Larkey, and Caleb Moore are the main components behind Rock's scoring machine. They hung 63 points on previously unbeaten Clay County last week to raise their state leading per game average to 54.4.

The Rockets have scored several non-offensive touchdowns this season, including four pick-six's.

The winner takes the driver's seat in 3A District 7.

I think Bell wins but I think it's closer than many think.

The Rock is a good football team. This will be close.

I think Bell County wins. However the game turns out, I think this one will say more of what to expect of Rock moving forward, especially in the playoffs.

Bell County takes this one. It may be a little closer than some folks expect, but Bell County has faced a much better schedule thus far in the season and hasn't lost.

Rockcastle County lost their only game against a solid team.

I think Bell County wins by 2, maybe 3 touchdowns in a fairly high-scoring affair. Bell County has struggled to stop teams on the ground a bit, so even though Rockcastle's offense is slightly more pass-heavy, Rock's solid run game should see some success. Rock isn't going to have an answer for Daniel Thomas running it for the Bobcats, though.

This game will be a dandy and probably one of the all time classics between these two teams. The game could come down to who has the ball last or which team can make the other team have more turnovers. Rock defense will have a big challenge this week in stopping Thomas however I don’t think they stop him no one really has but if they can contain him just enough this Rock’s defense is fast enough and talented enough to cause turnovers. If Rock is able to do this to Bell in the same manner they have everyone else they have played then Rock will give themselves the chance to win on Log Mountain. It will be a tall task however I think this Rock team has the ability to win this game.

Rock needs a Perry Central job on Thomas. They're the only team to contain him this season. If he has another 300+ game, this becomes a shootout. Not that that's a bad thing for the Rockets. They're built for those.

I think Bell wins, especially with it being on the mountain. But the opportunity is there for Rock to show us something. I won't be shocked to see them pull off the upset.

And If your score prediction is right, it would probably be worth the drive down there to see it in person.

The Rockets are in this one late, but Bell hangs on.

I think this game will be the game of the week maybe in all classes. Rock has the offense to score an as we have seen in previous games. Bell has came out on top in shootouts in other weeks I just think this Rock team has the ability to hang the L on the Bobcats even though it’s on Log Mountian. Regardless, this game will be a great one even for the causal fan to drive and watch. I still like my Rockets in a shootout by a score or so. High 50’s maybe more!! Has the makings of a classic and the upset is there for sure! Come on down!

Beautiful night on Log Mountain for a W! Let’s go Rock!

Bell to start with ball first
