JV started out the second half and scored three touchdowns! The starters were wearing headsets at the end of the third and appeared that the varsity was calling plays for JV.

Hope Paducah Tilghman meets Boyle County in the finals of 4A and beats them bad getting some revenge for the Lone Oak loss against them in the finals, in a game Lone Oak should have won.

I would think the kids were simply wearing the headsets after coming out of the game as coaches had taken off the headsets once the clock had begun to run.  I have seen this before as kids on the sideline just having a little fun.  

Can anyone that was at the game explain what happened on the field goal attempt for Calloway? The ball was on about the 20-25 on fourth down,Calloway attempted the kick and it was blocked. Ball landed on about the 5 yard line and there was no penalty called,so it was turn over on down and the refs placed the ball at the 5 yard line!

I believe in high school, if a kick is blocked and goes beyond the line of scrimmage, it's essentially a punt and the ball will be placed as such. The kicking team can down it if the defensive side doesn't down it first or try to advance it. The kicking team can only recover and advance the ball if it doesn't go past the line of scrimmage. 

So in this case, I think that would be correct and you would be better off not blocking it if stays in the field of play but you can't advance it. Of course if it goes beyond the end zone line, it comes back out to the 20. 

At least this is the way I've always thought it was, if wrong, hopefully someone let's us know.

Okay that makes sense,although I’m not sure why they wouldn’t let them run it back when Tilghman picked it up! Also I couldn’t completely see everything because my view was partially blocked by the Tilghman canopy.

That’s how Johnson Central punted one year. They’d lineup like a field goal unit and kick it down the field that way.

Maybe not this year or the next couple but eventually PT is going to get their pay back for hanging all these points on people. If a coach wants to he can hold the score down I don’t think their coach wants to. Also I don’t think I would be calling out Boyle.

Who are you saying called out Boyle County?

Also offensively jv played the whole 2nd half against Calloway County.Against Warren East you must not be aware of the taunting by East players and coaches before game started directed at certain Tilghman players.
