Danville at Somerset Predictions/Updates

Featured Replies

Danville (0-7) visits Somerset (5-2) in a district-level game with a big backstory.  The Ads are going against former head coach Clay Clevenger.

Ads searching for their first win of the year while Somerset is looking to lock down first place in the district as the season winds down.

The Ads have won the last three games between these teams after Somerset ran off 6 wins in a row from 2018-2020.

I believe out of respect for the seniors at Danville which he coached, I don’t think he will let it get too far out of hand.  Running clock?  Yes, but not much beyond that.

It will always be considered Title town! 22 Championships between both schools. Stop the nonsense.

  • If Clevenger is rehired when Peach resigned I don't think any of the former Danville players are at Boyle except for Sage Dawson.

Hopefully Somerset isn't distracted by homecoming or have dead legs from being off last week and fall break. Somerset needs to focus and remember that when these schools play it's going to be a battle.

Cleavenger makes a statement and Somerset wins big!

No battle here.  It’ll be a route!

Will be interesting to see how bad Clevenger wants to score to be.

Kind of what I was thinking.

What would running up the score prove? The players on the field didn't have anything to do with the coaching change did they?

Get the win, shake hands and wish them the best. It's all about the young men working their tails off every day to get better.

Somerset 42-7.

Somerset in control but hope Coach Parks get maybe keep this one close. 50-6 running clock by end of half or top of 3rd.

It’s still crazy to think about Danville not having a win on their season so far. I know things have become more challenging over the past few years, but I didn’t realize things changed this much. What’s going on, are students not coming out to play like before? Are several just going to Boyle County? I was just curious to more of what’s happened.

Somerset as by as many as they want.

Clevenger has to remember he is responsible for 1 team and that is his team. He needs to coach his team hard and whatever the score turns out to be is responsibility of the Danville coaching staff.

Somerset moon walks to a running clock! Title Town is now Title One Side of Town.
