If that’s the case, why not promote one of the coordinators. They’re in that position for a reason. Don’t open to the public outsiders, but promote within.

You and others make valid points. I was just using his resume tenure and thought he could be the guy this late in process. Overall this is a mess. Young and hungry is possibility, but is this the right job to jump at in almost June?

Believe "fit" is the right word for him; his background has been comprised mainly of rural schools in that area. Plus, he could probably attract a staff quickly from the surrounding area of his former guys or players. What rumors? I feel bad for the Western Hills kids, too; they are in just as bad a shape if they get another change at HC as well.

Think Justin Franklin would be a solid fit. Knows the area and could be a guy who could stay for some length of time.

I think you have to give Coach Browning credit. Not an easy job and a lot of the upgrades to facilities came at the end. Have they had alot of admin turnover?

Scott is taking the heat but regardless when they announce, they were just the first one to post before everyone. Frustration part for everyone, is all the jobs that posted after them have now all filled, regionally with the exception of Connor.

1.) Might be more people than you think who show up and support Scott just to be there without any of following listed. Basketball program is a consistent program for Scott along with other ones. 2.) Kenton Co. has open enrollment, timing is critical sometimes. However, there possibly are out-district or in-district families who are waiting for a confirmation. Parents will put their kid in the best opportunity for their success.

Agree on this point. However, it is significant step-up from sitting in an assistants chair vs the head coaches chair. You can say all the right things and do things people like when you’re an assistant but in the other chair every decision you make has positive and negative impacts. Maturity vs age is decent argument; however, think experience higher value. Comparing both, similar experience but there is a big difference in running a 1A Private school vs 5A Public school. NKY 4A, 5A, 6A football is different than 1A IMO. Same can be said in Lexington, Louisville, etc. Probably others coaches that have an opinion as well.
