  1. PT keeps rolling but think Logan Co. could make this game interesting.
  2. Dixie Heights Greenup Co. St. X OH Glasgow Woodford Co.
  3. I don't think Franklin Co. is short on talent. What's your opinion on the roster? Give us your insight on FC.
  4. Big time matchup in District play for the #10 North Oldham on the road to #6 Franklin Co., this was an exciting game last year and the build up for this one is a little bit different. Franklin Co. has owned the overall series between the two with 9-0 record heading into this Friday's matchup. Coach Eddie James has established a program and has made several deep runs in the playoffs with Final 4 appearances and state final appearance as well. Flyers coaching staff continues to build upon the foundation of their program each year, getting closer to a reunion in Lexington. Coach James and his staff continue their strong campaign at Franklin Co. by coming into this matchup 5-0. Their high-flying offense and stout defense have proven too tough for their opponents, with big wins against 6A Bryan Station and Great Crossing well as defense battle with 5A North Laurel. Franklin Co. continued their district-play dominance with a 91-7 scoreboard against District Opponents Spencer Co. and Shelby Co., with an infusion of youth and veterans this well put together team looking for another deep run in the playoffs. Newly realigned district, the District Title is within reach. North Oldham underwent a coaching change this off-season in bringing in Brock Roberts to turn the tide of the program. Coach Roberts came in and has immediately made an impact on both the program and community, coming in with valuable experience from his first run as a Head Coach as well as from his mentor Coach Jerry Lucas. Coach Roberts and his staff have made a splash at the start of the season coming into this game 4-2 with a big win over 6A Fern Creek and another solid showing against an improved 4A DeSales. The Mustangs did drop two games in an injury plagued game vs Tates Creek and tough showing in the North vs South game were Mustangs battled hard but came up short to a well-coached South Oldham. District play the Mustangs unveil their high-flying offense with healthy roster and strong showings vs both Henry Co. and Shelby Co., showcasing the strength of their offense and defense in each game. The North Oldham roster is built on a strong group of veterans on both sides of the ball and a newfound energy around this program. Coach Roberts and the Mustangs look to continue building upon the legacies established under the Billy Martin era in his tenure at North. Last year's game was a tight one until the 4th quarter. Dominant rushing attack by the Flyers and young new faces of the Mustang air attack come alive in last year's contest. Hard fought contest in Goshen, left the Flyers winning 38-20. Fast forward to 2023 and the Mustang Air Attack is alive with those some of those same faces, but Franklin Co. offense is still rolling with a strong run game and big play ability to move the ball around. This game should be a good one looking at the projections for the week. Either way exciting week to travel down to Frankfort and see this contest.
  5. I was told the incident occurred between Shelby Co. Parents and Coaches, is there more videos surfacing from the incident?
  6. 👀 So what is going on at County? Spirits got to be high within those communities with Hills 2-0 and Franklin Co. 2-0, sad to see Coach Davis at 0-2* but think he will get things turned around soon.
  7. If you’re South Oldham, what kind of coach are you looking for to build off of what Coach Reed built? IMO, this is a good job but they’re now in a tough district with every program having a veteran coach and talent to run with it. Coach Reed did a great job there and will be a tough one to follow!
  8. Job Posting and Description: Ludlow Independent Schools - Head Football Coach (tedk12.com) They are getting a new turf field and have nice facilities in place.
  9. According to the school website as of 4/14/23. Job description says application only accepted until 4/28/23. Job Posting: Caverna Independent School District - High School Head Football Coach (tedk12.com)
  10. Posted on School Website 4/20/23. Any word what happened?
  11. Will this hire affect other job's posting? Such as big-time name floating around.
  12. @BEChargers any big hitters in list of interviewees?
  13. Per JCPS website, Doss Head Coaching job is open.
  14. Hearing they are naming a Coach sometime soon; interviews were held and decision being made.
  15. I try to avoid false information and only if confirmed with evidence. If it is an error, then school officials have to make change.
  16. Per KHSAA website the job is open.
  17. What I read and heard, think he was tired and he is also an assistant principal. Tough job doing both and he did a great job with program. FC vs North game was closer than the score showed, 21-20 heading late 3rd or start of 4th I believe. Big piece is with new coaches we don’t know what will happen. However, this district is going to be a fight for #1 and #2 seed especially with sister district still in place for playoffs.
  18. 1. Mayfield 2. Owensboro Catholic 3. Metcalfe County 4. Lexington Christian 5. Beechwood (WV and Carroll may be only challenge in that district). 6. Somerset (Dark Horse to make some noise this season). 7. Floyd Central or Martin County (Unsure on this district). 8. Shelby Valley I think LCA, Beechwood, Somerset, Danville, Mayfield, Walton-Verona, Owensboro Catholic, Metcalfe County, Murray and Shelby Valley contenders. Think Mayfield and LCA will be final 2 teams this year just on recent success and with Beechwood looking for a coach still and unsure who that will be at this time.
  19. Here is the run down: Western Hills - New Coach. North Oldham - New Coach (Pending). Shelby Co. - 2nd Year Coach, according to social media and roster a lot of returning players, more coming out. This could be a team to watch. Henry Co. - Coach Wright has a system in place and just came off one of his best seasons. Spencer Co. - Coach Marksberry longtime standing coach and had a great season but heard they lost a lot of talent in this senior class. Still a good team. Franklin Co. - Coach James 2 Final Fours and constantly competing with the top teams. 1 quarter away from state finals this past season. I think the district will be interesting this season, but you have to give the edge to Franklin Co. as Coach Eddie James has shown some dominance in his tenure. Especially with the exit of Central out of the district and majority of starters returning. Open to rebuttals on this opinion.
  20. Jon Thomas has been named Head Coach according to twitter post, he has been a former assistant on staff for the last few seasons.
  21. Why isn’t Frankfort on the schedule, thought they were all 3 big rivals? Battle for Franklin County. Think this was discussed at one time in a previous thread, but unsure.
