This is a really challenging coaching gig. They are 11-44 in the last 5 years. This will be their 3rd coach in 6 years. Absolutely no rest for the weary. 

Summer of 2022, they hosted a QB workout for me. Had a blast. Wonderful people. Certainly wish them the very best. The timing on this one is tough. 

Coach Genton released a TikTok the other day stating that after 22 years he’s been let go from Trimble County. Looks like things are not good in Raider land.

He served the County for 22 years, believe he was a superintendent somewhere else for a stint, then returned.

I believe Genton is from Lincoln County, correct? Played for Larry Phillips at Lincoln and Phillips later went on to an administrative role at Trimble County, which I assume is what pulled Genton in that direction. Like you mentioned, I think he also had a brief stint in administration at Jenkins before returning to Trimble.

Is there anybody who would have interest for this job? Any current assistant that could step in? I feel bad for Trimble Co. considering their struggles for the past few years.

They had a couple young assistants. Not sure if they are teachers. Genton did the best he could with what he had. Numbers will always be a problem for the Raiders. Get 10 kids per grade and you might have something. Easier said than done. My nephew is in the pee wee program so hopefully the numbers get competitive in the next few years.
