  1. The 12th Region seems wide open. DCA and West Jessamine seem to be the favorites. Should make for a lot of competitive games amongst the other teams.
  2. Depth is seldom a factor for LC under Jackson, they don't play a lot of kids even when they have depth. You are correct he usually finds a way.
  3. Should be a close one, could be a long year for the Ads in the 45th.
  4. Lincoln is winning games it can/should win. That is a great step forward for the program. Big underdogs this week for sure. Congrats to Coach Rogers and his team for the 5-0 start.
  5. Got a chance to watch the 45th District games last night. Danville played DCA well, especially in the first half. The DCA defense wore on them as they continuously pressure the ball. Lincoln and Boyle was a classic as always. The Patriots played excellent defense. They seemed to challenge and contest every shot Boyle took. Nothing came easy. Boyle made a nice run in the 4th with their pressure defense. The championship game will be interesting, DCA is the new team on top of the district and Lincoln County has seemingly controlled it for the past decade. Two excellent defensive teams and two teams that will be a tough out next week in the region tournament.
  6. What a performance from the Rebels. They have cemented themselves as the top program in the state right now. Kudos to their coaching staff. They were prepared and executed.
  7. Beating bad teams is better than losing to bad teams. And you said yourself on this post that LC was not a good team, so using that logic they are beating teams just like them. Which is a step in the right direction. Yes Danville is down, but LC has been down a long time too and beating them (no matter the year) is big for the community and the program. I don't think LC fans think they are a state contender or anything like that, but it's ok to enjoy winning games.
  8. Would love to see new head coach Levi Rogers find a winning season in his first year.
  9. Boyle County is taking a lot of their best players and the games are not competitive. This is a logical decision for Danville.
  10. Wayne Co took the air out of the ball too soon and didn't get any quality looks late. Sideline out of bounds with less than 10 seconds left, tie game, and ran a play that made them have to inbound the ball in the backcourt and not get a good look. The Fugate kid made two huge threes to tie it late, that saved DCA. Dut had the hot hand and they didn't get him the ball enough. Offense got real stagnant. It was a fun HS game. Definitely think Somerset has a good shot against them with the way they are shooting the ball. You have to score from the perimeter to beat DCA.
  11. There will be some interest from locals, wouldn't be shocked if Daniel Cooper wasn't a candidate here. He's done well at Lincoln County as an assistant and with their JV team.
  12. Statement win for DCA. The 12th Region goes through Shakertown Road.
