  1. Don't beat yourself up over that point...HHS missed on an XP! LOL!
  2. What about the 8:29/11:59 curfew? And the burr haircut made it easy for people to rat out any violators in the 70's!! LOL!
  3. The Geisler kid is an absolute STUD (pardon the 70's pun!). Big Jake can "bring it" on the gridiron as well as the hoops court. (and if Pops had his way...the mound, too!) Surprised we're not hearing more news about college recruiters hot on his tail. OH, by the way...he's from Ft. Thomas!! Horsehide over the Humpbacks by 11.
  4. You've never heard of the "Dirty Birds"?? ROAD WARRIORS, bay-beee!!
  5. Ditto what he said!! ............as always!
  6. I noticed this, too. Jason had a fine game and his varsity experience will go a loooong way in developing a fine offensive lineman...much needed this year as depth is a problem. Heard he has been the head chef serving "pancakes" in the JV games...glad he's finally getting a shot at the Friday night lights!
  7. Sounds like the baby Birds O-line is doing mighty fine! Someone post who these "hogs" are !!
  8. Didn't Gold haul in a long TD pass in the 1st Q? HHS reserves got some much needed varsity game experience. BW will be strong in class A.
  9. The bantering here on inflammatory remarks reminded me that a former BGP poster, Crush56, recently passed away. His son was a big stud at Beechwood and he was often over the top on his comments about BW and their players. I enjoyed his passion and miss his comments (often comical). His son has gone on to play for a D1 program and I know he was awful proud of him...and all his Tigers! RIP Crush56!
  10. Congrats to the Baby Bengals on a hard fought game. Many more days with a "W" are in their future!
  11. I don't know about that...but I bet he'd like to make a couple of different calls from that game! LOL!
  12. Will Highlands beat them bad enough to insert the second team O-line? If so, what margin might that be?
  13. Congrats to Coach B and his staff. Way to go Birds!!
  14. Congrats to Manual!
  15. I sense a "rivalry" vibe from Ryle. CovCath will ALWAYS be THE game just because it has playoff implications. But lately, the spirit that never dies is definitely on life support.
  16. It was good to see you last night night with your Dad! jbwill2, SR was/is one of my all-time favorite administrators from high school. With the pre-game celebration honoring the Champions of '60... including my former HC, Roger Walz... the night had a 1975 "feel" to it...except Ryle wasn't around then....
  17. Hey 'Crunch...you and the missus going to make the game?
  18. I heard Drew Houliston and Thomas Wrobleski are being counted on pretty heavily, too! Can anyone post a positional breakdown of the O & D?
  19. BUT...they don't have the reigning NATIONAL COACH of the YEAR!
  20. Thanks for the support.....:irked:
  21. Sidenote: Was that the WORST Highlands O-line, EVER??? OK...I'm done with that until NEXT year!
  22. I used to blame all the "trickeration" on Gary Schrader...now it looks as if Jared is "the evil genius"! LOL! Anyway, I thought the call was brilliant! I'm surprised HoosierBF isn't a season pass holder. And it was good to see all of my "heroes" from when I was in FTJFL honored on the field before the game. I hear next week is the 1960 State Team! My former HC, Roger Walz, will be part of that contingent.......don't know who will feel older! LOL! Should be a GREAT evening of past and present HHS football...hint: GET THERE EARLY!
