A different look for Highlands mostly on offense but a very solid team. The top in NKY and would confidently say top 3-5 in the state.

The only team that will stop this offense is Highlands themselves. No nerves in this game just business as usual. Towles is a freak of nature. Sully is a beast...just ask Manual's QB....this team is the real deal. 28 1st half points....stop the pass, they kill you with the run. 5a defenses have no chance.....

The defense really made a statement tonight. The offense struggled a little with the passing game, but they didn't take any prisoners.

Whatever they are paying the ref's is waaaaay too much. I was at the Highlands game but I'm not sure the ref's were. They were not homers , missed and blown calls for both teams.

 

Now the chain gang. Is it too much trouble to get a measurement on the field ? NFL teams get measurements on the field , why not high schools ?

 

To show that I'm not a negative person , I would like to commend the players of both teams. Both teams looked very much in shape,(especially for the first game ) and there seemed to be no problems with cramps or dehydration , great job on both coaching staffs for players safety.

I thought Manual ran a west coast offense? Their offense looked nothing like that to me. They have a ton of athletes and they don't even try to get them the ball in space. They looked lost..Manual had a huge line and the Birds ran through and around them like they were standing still...Great job Birds!!!!

Yes, but I think the ref's knew they made some horrible calls. Hopefully they get better with time as well...

The completed pass and fumble was one of the worst calls I have seen in a long time..

One more thing and then I'll shut up. I know a lot of people spend countless hours behind the scenes ,and I appreciate their services very much. It would be nice to have two ticket windows open on the south side of the stadium , after all, they have 4 to 6 people at the gate collecting the tickets. Doesn't that sound logical. ?

My observations: I think they will need another receiver step up. Gould is like the TJ Houshmanzadeh he knows where to be and catches the ball. Outside of Goldy they are smaller guys. I wish Drake would play some WR, he looked fast and furious returning the pick 6. Compton is a horse he is very effective between the tackles. Streeter is the home run hitter I hope he gets more touches. The Defense looks a lot like last year they were awesome tonight.
