Guru, here's a question for you. I read Ryan Ernst's article about this game today and was amazed to read about how successful BW was against NKY competition (and also Cincy competition!) in the 1990s, including several big wins against CCH when the Colonels were a first-rate NKY power. Has BW slipped a lot since those days, or is something else going on?

Nice win for the Birds. Made some nice plays. Beechwood has a nice scrappy team. On to Withrow. Good luck to the Tigers the rest of the season. That's all folks.

The Beechwood program can not compete with the Highlands program. Just too big of a difference in the way they develop players.

Over before it began, Vocke is a very nice back though. Nice job by Gall stepping up tonight. Highlands had an opportunity to polish the passing game and they sure did.

This game was a joke. Highlands didn't look at all fired up for this one. Towles made some nice passes within 20 and dropped a couple bombs. He doesn't seem to have a good read of his targets at times. Alot of wide open receivers that didn't even get a look....He tends to hold onto the ball too long and hence end up too late on the receiving end. I didn't see any designed routes or plays. Didn't see Compton or Sullivan at all. Abner looked either ailing or just not too jacked for the game. Can't say I blame him. This game was much more beneficial to Beechwood. Highlands got relatively little out of this game. Defensive turnovers scored alot of the Birds points. Pass/Run was 80/20. #42 again got great penetration and the H D pressured well. Defensive secondary got burned alot by Beechwood. Not a good showing for them. Another game reminisent of Dixie back in 08' being up by a bunch and Dale taking out the starters way too early. They were still cold when they had to come back in in the 2nd only up by a couple td's. This game dragged on way too long and should've been put out of it's misery with a running clock. Instead we had to suffer through an ineffective 2nd team effort and leave scratching our heads again.......

That appeared to be the entire Highlands game plan, to iron out the passing game. They took many steps tonight.

You mean 1st quarter? Mccoy was in 7minutes left in the 2nd. This game didn't do anything for the Birds......total waste IMO

I disagree a little. Gall took steps tonight. Sheehan made a nice catch. The passing game did well without Gold involved who is their most complete receiver.

I think you need to lighten up a little. Highlands did sub too early. I think they should never sub untiil the running clock. But they did get a lot of players playing time. I am always of the opinion that Highlands should never schedule an A or AA team. It is a no win situation.
