Really nice job Walter. I'm with Clyde on the wait and see, but I think they have potential to make some noise by the end of the season. With a young team I don't expect them to come roaring out of the gate, but it will be interesting to see how they progress. As long as they beat CovCath for the fourth time in a row it'll all be good.....jk cc fans!

On paper this one appears to be lopsided with Conner playing a very weak schedule and having defensive struggles, but I have a feeling it will be closer than most anticipate.

Scott with 464 yards of offense...not to shabby. Things seem to be turning around for the Eagles.

Hatton is the obvious key, but I expect him to put this year's team on his shoulders and carry them...much like Ruthsatz did with his group at CovCath last year. By February, they may be 10 deep with the sophomore class they have.

I did recently hear Milligan is likely to play this season contrary to what I heard a couple of months ago. That should give them a big boost in the paint. Senior Cameron Ruehr is playing this year after taking last seaon off. He's a lefty with a really smooth preimeter shot. Nick King (junior) should be in the mix for pt. Toss in a strong sophomore class (hopefully a couple of those guys will contribute at the varsity level) and I think by year's end they have the potential to give NewCath and Cooper all they want.

Wasn't there but that's what I heard as well...hey, whatever works huh. Historically Dixie's db's always love to go for the interception rather than simply knocking the ball down.

How come no one is griping about the play calling and coaching this year????

I left Milligan off because I "heard" he wasn't playing this season. I hope I heard wrong...he could really help out in the paint. I'm sure football is the only thing on his mind right now but would love to see him on the hardwood in December.

Next season will be a very good year for them. I think this year hinges on how some of the sophomore class develops over the course of the season. Hatton, Niehaus, and Daria are the only returnees with notable varsity experience. I think by the end of the season things could get interesting.

These 3 teams have a combined record of 2-9. Conner's D is going to have to turn it up a notch to keep them competitve against the better teams.

I agree Walter that Daria is likely to run the point. I sure as heck hope that Hatton doesn't get stuck playing out of position again. (like the year Trammel was out)

I agree....up with all of the momentum against a weaker (on paper) opponent....doesn't make sense. You never know 100% what a coach is thinking, but IF the intent was to "lay it on the opponent", it backfired and then exploded.

Dixie outscores Conner 26-7 in the second half. This game confirms my thoughts that there's too much hype coming out of Hebron.

This game will be an uphill battle for the young red Colonels. Dixie's never had much success stopping the pass and they will be going up against NKY's best passer in Blake Bir. If they want to keep it close, they have to keep CCH's offense off of the field.

Goetz has that Holy Cross ice cream truck running all over the place in the summer.
