Campbell County 36 Dixie Heights 32

Final.

Sounds like a great game to watch.

Dixie is coming along.

Another ugly win for the camels but we will take it

It would appear that CC's schedule of playing the top NKY teams has toughened them up for district play rather well.

Dixie is better than their record shows. Strong effort for the Colonels against the defending district champ and the district leader this year.

Those 3 or 4 offside penalties on 4th down were killers. CC QB did a good job drawing Dixie's D offside. Plus a couple of big runs by #28 for CC, kid is QUICK. Poor tackling on the pass play which CC got the winning TD. Coach Lickert has that Camel program going in the right direction for sure.

I have been saying this for quite sometime. You do not get any better playing 2A & 3A teams in the preseason IMO.

This group of kids have a never quit attitude and it comes form the top! So proud of them!

Great win for the Camels, turnovers have to stop. Three turnovers resulted in three touchdowns for Dixie.

I agree but I do have to say, how many penalties were called on CC tonight? I can't think of more than 1 or 2.

Great point, some 6A schools like to schedule A and AA teams to pad their record which IMO does nothing to get them ready for the rigors of district play. Good plan by the Camels, wish nothing but the best for the young men at CC.

Down 3 points (32-29), ball on Camels own 5 following a great punt by Dixie, 2:29 to play, driving rain with wind blowing in their face. Durham tosses a sideline route to #83 Zabonick. Good coverage by Dixie defender but Zabonick will not be denied a 95 yard catch & run this night! What a spectacular play for the CARDIAC CAMELS!! Congrats to Coach Lickert and the Fighting Camels. Could have very easily rolled over and played dead at Half down 24-6.

To me it looked like CC QB tossed it up for grabs and 83 went up and got it. Where the safety was I have no idea as this was an issue all night. CC receiver comes down with it and Dixie's defender just doesn't make the tackle. To be honest, there were numerous receivers that got behind Dixie's backs quite a few times. Campbell has a real nice team and I agree with an earlier post, they just don't quit.

That's all. If it was two that was all. Only one I remember was an illegal procedure.

Wasn't there but that's what I heard as well...hey, whatever works huh. Historically Dixie's db's always love to go for the interception rather than simply knocking the ball down.
