Congrats to the Colonels. A very impressive season after losing around a dozen seniors from last year. I don't think they were even ranked in the preseason top ten (could be wrong). I'll go on and toss "Max" out there for Coach of the Year. 25 wins and counting...keep up the good work Gentlemen.

A number 2 seed like Dixie last year...jk. I agree with NKU. The whole seeding thing is a crapshoot and hard to predict because of upsets in the district championship games. I make sure I have my ace for the Regional.

I have Ryle and NCC as the teams to beat. Conner's promising season has taken a turn for the worse. Highlands has been struggling down the stretch.(yes I know they beat Ryle) Beechwood's the strongest team from the 35th imo and can do some damage in the Regional IF they make it . Dixie's been playing real well heading into the post season winning 8 out of their last 9. Going to be a fun tournament....lots of parity with Ryle being a slight favorite at the top.

Congrats to the Colonels on winning the CCC. Dixie's been flying under the radar all year. I think things could get interesting come tourney time if the "D" holds up.

Just wasn't their night...it happens to everyone at some point. Some people think that players that don't have great games somehow didn't want to win as bad as others.....big myth.

I know many expected him to be a big contributor this year...while very quiet for most of the season he's putting it together at the right time.

Sounds strange that this just came up this year. So they can host district seeding games but not district tournament games?? Trying to follow the logic. Wonder if this becomes a permanent ban?

I still wonder whether the game would've been different if Holy Cross had hosted on their home court. They seem to play better at the Finn.

Take a deep breath. First off, if you read my post I didn't say one was deserving over the other. I really like both players and think they both bring a different game to the table. You obviously don't like Hatton based on what I've read in this thread...no big deal. You're just one opinion. As far evaluating a player of the year, no way does the players team record reflect the individual performance of a player. Coaches aren't that simple minded....take a look at who the coaches voted for.

If I'm deciding on who's most deserving of POY, I'm certainly not going to base it on how each others team performed. All that tells me is who had the better supporting cast. I know Hattons had 2 defenders run at him most of the season due to lack of offensive threats on his team.
