What are your alls predictions for this championship rivalry? St. Henry already beat Dixie 6 to 3 a couple weeks ago. Can they do it again? What are your thoughts?

Should be another exciting game between these two teams. Rose pitched a complete game 7 innings for St.Henry last night, so I'm not sure who will take the mound for the Crusaders. Probably pitch a bunch of different guys. Kuebbing didn't play last night, not sure if he is cleared to play or not.

Is he number 32 for St Henry? If so, he warmed up in the bullpen twice.

Yes, he is 32. I was not at the game, just heard he didn't play. He hasn't pitched (and only played the field at first for an inning on senior night) since the last Dixie game. He was out for probably 3 weeks before that outing. I don't know, hope he is cleared and can play healthy.

I assume he has been cleared as he was throwing in the 'pen. And on top of that it looked like he was throwing all out and not a 50% rehab type of bullpen session.

What's more important District Champs title or a first round win in the region tournament? If you have Kuebbing (arguably the best pitcher in the 9th region) for one start which is your choice? Interesting decision for coach Peddicord.

I don't understand this argument or the "decision".. District finals are today (Wednesday). First round of regional tournament is Monday. That is Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. 4 days of rest, couldn't he do both?

It's really just a hypothetical question, but given the last time he pitched (5/2) he finished the game and hasn't really played since, it may be a real possiblity that he can't do both. If that's the case do you go for the District Champ title or save him for first round regional playoff game. Some folks may go for the title, some folks may choose to take a better run at regionals. What say you?

I'd say that you go for the first round regional win. I would think that most teams have a goal of winning regions at the beginning of the year and while a district title can help that, it doesn't accomplish the goal. By winning last night, St. Henry secured a spot in a regional field that is about as wide open as it has been recently. The difference in being a 1 or 2 seed coming out of districts isn't as big as normal.

I agree with NKU. The whole seeding thing is a crapshoot and hard to predict because of upsets in the district championship games. I make sure I have my ace for the Regional.
