Yep, I've seen a few kids get "rim stuffed" as some call it....It's not pretty if they don't get their legs back under them. But I do like to watch the kids dunk and wish they would do away with the rule.

After reviewing the video, this is most accurate description of what happened imo

From the way it was described by the announcers, it wasn't isolated to one team or to just a couple of players. I'm of the belief that players can play with emotion without running their mouths to opponents. Off the top of my head, I would have the following. 1) Zero verbal communication between opposing players during the game. 2) First offense (per player) a warning recorded in the book. 3) Every infraction after that becomes a personal foul. That way the yappers can enjoy the game from the bench.

I really wish they would invoke a rule to eliminate all the "yapping" that goes on out on the court. Maybe situations like this wouldn't escalate.

I caught the second half of this one on the feed. I really thought (prior to the game) that CovCath would roll in this one. MC up 23 at one point and pulling away...not what I expected. As far as the brawl, I really couldn't tell what happened but I will say I've seen A TON of high school basketball games and have never seen punches thrown....really ashame for both teams, especially in a Championship game.

We can chase our tail around and around about qty of shots etc. Players are going to have different qtys on any given night. Brandon had 9 attempts in this game and 29 attempts against Scott High. Dixie lost them both. The real question Dixie has to answer is how they get better as a team by tournament time and into next season. Covcath has figured out, Dixie has not.

No idea. They did have a guy open in the corner quite frequently but never capitalized.

We'll disagree...no problem. What you're calling passive I see as running the offense. No idea what was going on with Brandon but it doesn't discredit the defensive pressure Scott County brought. Did he try to break down the defenders as much as usual...no. Would it have changed the outcome of the game..no. Again, no idea if Brandon didn't feel good, told to run the offense, whatever. I thought Scott County played good D regardless.

I watched this game on I-High....it was REALLY ugly if you're a Dixie fan. Scott Co is a very good team but the turnovers and poor defense were hard to watch. Toss in poor shooting and forced shots and you have a recipe for a big loss. Hatton getting a few more shots wouldn't have changed anything. Somehow Chevy has to light a fire under some of these other kids. When's the last time a team won the ninth region with 1 player averaging double figures? I don't recall ever. If some other players don't start getting involved, it's going to be the same story next year imo. It takes a TEAM to win the region.

Two really good teams... Good chance Holmes will be 25-0 heading into the NewCath game in February. I would not want to draw Cooper in the Regional Tourney.

Good win for Scott...a bit of a head scratcher for camp Dixie. Nice to see Ruehr hit double figures. Something we don't see out of Dixie players too often with the exception of Hatton.

Strong game out of Hemmerich for Conner (33pts) though he doesn't seem to get much support around him.

Holmes, Cooper, NewCath, and CovCath (assuming they make it) can all win the Ninth region tourney...This game doesn't change anything.

After the Holy Cross game last night, the Dogs have my head spinning a bit. CovCath and Cooper will be good tests for them. IF.. they get past those 2, they should meet little resistance until they match up with NewCath in February.

Very unpredictable weather this morning/today with the ice etc. I have no problem with Kenton Co.'s decision.

Correct.....players who don't play much typically don't fire up many shots. You have to have defenders,rebounders, and guys who can make plays in the game. Dixie's still searching for a core group right now. When they go from playing 12-14 guys a game down to 8-9 and have some guys step up to take the load off Hatton, they'll be more effective imo....It's December.

Some coaches are thinking about March instead of a game in December. Dixie has a lot of young talent. No reason for the cheap shot at Dixie and it's players.
