Tough loss for the Colonels....really nice game for the Dogs. Dixie allowed too many second chance points.....(partly due to Pike playing less than half the game) Turnovers didn't help the C's in this one either. I thought Dixie's zone defense was effective.....the Dogs guards were just too quick offensively in man to man. Holmes has shown when they bring their A game this season, they can play with anyone....maybe we'll get to see a rematch in a few weeks.

This one should be a very good battle. Holmes will certainly be on high alert playing at home against Dixie tonight. The strategy on both sides intrigues me.....it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Dogs should carry some momentum and confidence into this game after their convincing win over Scott. Dixie looking to get back on track after a lackluster win last week.

This indeed was a very sluggish game. Really no flow to the game...too many whistles and both teams looked out of sync. Hopefully NKU19, you get to see the real Dixie team in the future....this may have been their worst effort of the year.

Isn't NewCath the only team in the 36th with a winning record?

You may be thinking of Harris.... he left for personal reasons. Waller has always been on the team.

I'm sure there will be some twists and turns before the season ends but they are playing well.

Pike sat quite a bit in this one for Dixie as well. CovCath really needs to find more offensive resources than Thelen. I see in the Boyle Co. game where he had 19 fg att's and 11 other players combine for 25 att's...not much balance.

I always like the teams with good guard play come tourney time.

The stat that jumps out at me is the 37% FG percentage shooting by Dixie. You'll have a hard time beating anyone, much less a good team with that number. 60% from the line doesn't help either.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the kid that transferred from Indianapolis to play at Western for his senior year. He originally committed to Louisville but I'm not sure if that's still the case.

First off, congrats to the Eagles on the upset...they played very well and got the job done. Dixie came out ice cold with 5 first quarter points...down 13 at the half after a banked in 3 pointer at the buzzer. They had to deal with some foul adversity as I believe Pike played less than half the game and Stansberry sat a good portion of the second half. It was a good night to pick off Dixie imo as they didn't look mentally there....it was going to happen sooner or later and the Eagles always play well at home. They'll be fine...just need to get this one out of the system and move on.
