Dixie comes into this contest 19-2 and Holmes is 14-7. Who wins this big 9th region battle? Will it be the red Colonels who are looking to gain the respect as 9th region favorites by many or the homestanding Bulldogs coming off the big win at Scott on Saturday?

Can somebody tell me which Holmes team is going to show up? When they come to play they are outstanding. I'm still shaking my head at the 14-7 record. They should be better than that?

I'm going with Dixie in this one.

Depends on whether Dixie tries to play uptempo with Holmes or not.

In an uptempo game, Holmes wins by 5-10. Dixie isn't quick enough overall to play that style with Holmes.

If Dixie makes it a halfcourt game, they win by around 10...give or take a few. That will depend on how well they shoot against the Holmes 2-3 zone.

Either way, I expect a battle. Holmes' players know that in order to be the best, they have to beat Dixie. A win tomorrow night could go a long way in building confidence for the home stretch of the season.

I'm going to go with the upset in Covington:

Holmes- 67

Dixie- 65

This one should be a very good battle. Holmes will certainly be on high alert playing at home against Dixie tonight.

The strategy on both sides intrigues me.....it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Dogs should carry some momentum and confidence into this game after their convincing win over Scott.

Dixie looking to get back on track after a lackluster win last week.

Match ups I'd expect to see:

5'10 Palmer v 6'0 Trammel

5'11 Hayes v 6'0 Hatton

6'2 Gray v 6'2 Hassell

6'5 Rice v 6'5 Stansberry (This match up should be a great one)

6'2 Knox v 6'5 Pike (Gonna be a lot of banging down low)

IMO the refs never let the Knox vs, Pike battle happen. 3 of the five calls on Pike were VERY questionable at best.

Match ups I'd expect to see:

5'11 Hayes v 6'0 Hatton

6'2 Gray v 6'2 Hassell
