Very good team and Scott had no answer for their speed and ball movement. I hope they do really good at State. Scott couldn't get going once they got in foul trouble very early in 3rd. The 29 point quarter Scott gave up in the 3rd was the most all year. Still proud of this group of great young Men. Love you guys!

You play to win the game (Coach Herm)! Reading these post, Scott should just throw in the towel! Scott will come out and play their hearts out and in the end, we will go away with respect for ourselves and Montgomery County. Good luck to the winner and good luck at Rupp. I'll definitely be pulling for my boys of Scott High School. It will be tough game considering what Montgomery brings to the table, with players and Coach. After all it's March madness, the best time of the year!!!

Not sure of the population of Augusta, but it sure looked like the whole town was there. I guess Taylor Mill needs to represent in the next game. They took all the lower level seating leaving Scott fans to fill in where they could. I guess the City of Taylor Mill should show a little more support for the Eagles and put the word out. I'm sure Augusta did!

Sorry for the delay on this one... The Tech on the bench was so uncalled for! Everyone knew it was a terrible call and they penalized a kid on the bench that didn't say a word. Home cooking was evident at the end of the game. 39 free-throws by Highlands and 16 my count for Scott!

Got to go with the Eagles in a close hard fought victory! This will come down to the better guard play in the end. Hopefully the stripes will let them play and earn this #1 seed for either team! Should be a fun game to watch!

Walter, you know as well as I do and as a Hoops fan that it's not always the final foul count that matters and changes the game. It's when they were called and what was missed by the officials. I try not to ever put a win or loss on a crew because at the end of the day its the Kids who have to decide the game with execution and smart play. Scott got back into the game with hard work and playing through the adversity. I'm happy for both teams, I'm Holmes alum and have cousins on the team. It was a great atmosphere to see.

The Eagles came out and played with heart in the second half... Not since the teams that had Johnson and Pittman and Riley have I seen a Holmes team hit 3s like they did in the first half. Holmes made '7' 3's in the 1st half and only 'one' in the second. Difference came down to a couple tough calls against the Eagles, you could tell that this crew must not have worked together before or were just not good as a threesome! Holmes shot '20' free-throws in the 4th quarter to Scott's '3' free-throws and that is all I'll say about that! Still going to be very tough to beat the Eagles in the 10th region!

FYI... Pouncy was not one of the officials (not sure if mentioned) He actually worked the Cov Cath game last night... BTW, We don't all look a like!

I agree Blue. Your PG was only in the game long enough to take 3 shots which 2 went in for 3... No reason he should have been sitting the last 4 min.

Sunrise, by no means did I blame the refs for the loss. Jackson did not have any help at the end of the game. Mason respected Pouncy's ability to score, but he wasn't out there to help. Sad ending to a long hoops season.

Not sure why Pouncy wasn't on the floor late in the game. He was the hottest outside threat tonight but was pulled repeatedly late in the game. Don't think he even played the last 4 min? Hit his only two shots in the 1st half, both 3's! Kind of frustrated that he wasn't even given a chance to help the team at the end of the game. Scott continued to have key turn-overs and bad shots at the end. Should not have lost this game. Fouls at the end of the game were a huge margin 13 Scott - 6 MC?

I have no idea, Scott was in the 9th region until 2006? Couldn't tell ya which district as I'm a Holmes kid, we were always the 9th region...

Never in the 10th region! They all joined the 10th and 37th in 2006? it's been either Brossart or Scott with Scott winning the last four until this year! Someone please clarify on this one?
