A close game throughout. Both teams went through times where they didn't play well and both teams had streaks. Both teams had 6 or 7 point leads at some point in the game, but it was in doubt until the last two minutes when Dixie had to foul. These teams are pretty even IMO. They could play 10 times and probably split. The Dogs won the game on the boards and pressure in the final quarter. When Dixie had to go man to man late, Gray went to the hole and they didn't have an answer. Pike may have played about half the game due to foul trouble. He makes a difference when he is in. Holmes was taking it to him and it worked. Both teams played hard, under control, and it was well played. I thought Peterson made a huge difference for the Dogs with his rebounding and inside play when he was in. This region is still wide open.

Holmes-Rice and Gray were awesome. These two guys flat got it done and really showed much more effort rebounding the ball especially on the offensive glass. Would love to see some numbers on the rebounds.

Dixie opens in man and goes zone in the second half while Holmes opens in zone and goes man for much of the second half. Both teams will be in the 9th Region tournament and tonight could have been a preview of the championship game. Who knows, it's wide open.

It was a fun game to watch, I thought it was going to be in the 80's in the first 3 minutes. Dixie went to the 1-3-1 and slowed it down. They caught Holmes sleeping some and made some quick transition buckets until Booher called time-out and got on the kids a little bit. Holmes quickness was apparent hen Dixie went man. Dixie actually ran well with them for a while, but don't think they could do it a whole game, they just aren't deep enough.

BBall in NKY is crazy... In another 10th vs 9th region tonight, Scott beat Cov Cath. Scott beats, Boone and Dixie and gets clobbered by Holmes... Just Crazy!

They are playing well right now. Big difference from a couple of weeks ago. Neither team shot great tonight, but played hard. Holmes really hit the boards well tonight. Holmes bench is getting better. This is going to be one of the best regionals we've had in a long time.

You are right paNDa. Holmes shot 3-18 at the line and 1-14 from the 3 point arc. They wouldn't have beaten anyone playing like that. When Gray Rice and Hayes are playing well they will be tough to beat. Just don't know if they can for three straight, but I'm not sure any other team can play well three in a row either.
