Holmes Only Undefeated Left in Kentucky

Featured Replies

The Bulldogs are the only undefeated team left in Kentucky I believe, althogh they are not the best team in Kentucky. How long will they go and are they Top 10 in the state? I belive they are close to top 10, but they have yet to play NCC, CCH, and Cooper. The play the latter next. When will they stumble?

After the Holy Cross game last night, the Dogs have my head spinning a bit. CovCath and Cooper will be good tests for them. IF.. they get past those 2, they should meet little resistance until they match up with NewCath in February.

CONGRATS to Holmes on an amazing season! Really something to be proud of.

I think the NCC game is going to give the Dogs fits. Sounds like Campbell was a HUGE factor last night. So take another team with some solid talented Bigs, and Holmes has a tough game.

I saw this weakness at the St Henry game (where Dogs should have won by 30, just like Cooper ). You go up against an athletic big with moves in the paint, and therein lies a Bulldog weak spot.

To the Holmes faithful, I'm not bashing your team at all, and Walter knows that. I like your team. I hope you keep learning and pushing and continue to win! Go Dogs!

Holmes, in my opinion, really hasn't played stellar competition outside of Holy Cross and maybe Scott. Even though the Eagles are a bit up and down, I think they are pretty good.

Holmes has an upcoming stretch against Covington Catholic and Cooper, I believe.

The record is nice to see, but it is all about seeding in the 35th District.

I would agree, it is hard to tell how good the teams from out of state were in the two tourneys they played. I don't believe they'll go undefeated through the regular season, but it is difficult to say who will beat the. They still could lose 3-4 games with their remaining schedule. Dixie won't be easy, either. I agree the CovCath game is a big one. They'd take a win there and loss to Cooper, Dixie, and/or NewCath

If Holmes beats CCH this week they certainly deserve top-10 consideration.

I don't know if Holmes is a top 10 team in the state or not, but if they win both games this week at Covcath and home against Cooper, they would certainly deserve the ranking.

I think they are somewhere in the range of 11-15 but they are a very good team and outside of the current top 5, I don't think there is a team that you can look at and say no, Holmes would/could not beat them.

This week will give us a much better idea of just how good they are.

I don't see them finishing the regular season with more than 3 losses though, as long as they stay healthy.

Ask the players or coaches and they will tell you the only thing they are worried about is the next game.
