gold sunrise Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Basketball season for 2012/2013 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Dixie Heights ? Remember, please be constructive.
Omega Man Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 It will be the Brandan Hatton show. I think his support staff will surprise some folks and keep them in the thick of things by the end of the year.
Qryche11 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I think they win the 9th this year. Its possible but Hatton will have to dominate.
gold sunrise Posted October 16, 2012 Author Posted October 16, 2012 It will be the Brandan Hatton show. I think his support staff will surprise some folks and keep them in the thick of things by the end of the year. Who are some players to fill this roll?
Qryche11 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Alex Milligan- big kid who plays football. He is probably 6'4 250. Nick Neihaus- another big kid who also plays football I believe. I think he goes around 6'4 as well but isnt as thick. Adam Daria- PG who will have to run the show and distribute to Hatton.
Baseball Nut 24 Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Nick Niehaus plays baseball and basketball, no football. He's a 6-4 wide body, space-eater. Pretty good low post defensive player, needs to work on his offensive skills around the basket. He and milligan will give Dixie some beef down low.
Solomon Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I did recently hear Milligan is likely to play this season contrary to what I heard a couple of months ago. That should give them a big boost in the paint. Senior Cameron Ruehr is playing this year after taking last seaon off. He's a lefty with a really smooth preimeter shot. Nick King (junior) should be in the mix for pt. Toss in a strong sophomore class (hopefully a couple of those guys will contribute at the varsity level) and I think by year's end they have the potential to give NewCath and Cooper all they want.
Clyde Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 IMO Dixie will have struggles offensively. They will have one legit weapon and he will shoot 25 times per game for Dixie to have success.
uk#1fan Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 If anybody wants to win the 9th they will have to beat Dixie to win it!
Walter Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Dixie will be solid 1-5 but after that there are a lot of question marks as far as depth goes. If a team gets Brandon Hatton in trouble, they are in a lot of trouble.
Qryche11 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 You could almost double Hatton and let one of the lesser known players try and beat ya. Hatton can score and comes off screens well, if you dog him with 1 or 2 strong players the entire game it could make it tough for Dixie to win. The other players will have to step up.
Solomon Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Hatton is the obvious key, but I expect him to put this year's team on his shoulders and carry them...much like Ruthsatz did with his group at CovCath last year. By February, they may be 10 deep with the sophomore class they have.
NKY Bandit Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 I think they win the 9th this year. Not a chance. Hoping that Brandon does well but the class of this region is NCC. OK. there is a chance for DH and that is if Brandon doesn't get the double team and some help.
