  1. IMO- 1. Dixie 2. NCC 3. Holmes 4. Boone County 5. Ryle 6. CCH I think Dixie has the best shot at making it out. Hatton is the go to guy, but to me it comes down to Pike. If Pike can stay in the game and help on defense with the likes of Giesler, Brown, and Thelen that gives Dixie a big boost. You are not going to stop Hatton he will find a way to score on you. I would not be shocked if any of these teams took the 9th region crown.
  2. I like Dixie in this game. Thelen will be the better big man but Dixie's guards will be too much for CovCath to handle. In a hostile environment and a big crowd I will take the Red Colonels by 10.
  3. Wow! This is shocking to say the least. Great DIII win for the Big Trains.
  4. I wasn't calling you out specifically. I was making a general statement. I see it all the time in other threads too. We must have the worst officials in the country according to us Prep's folks. IMO the ref's are the easiest scape goat.
  5. Every time a team has lost this season it has been the refs fault........
  6. Agreed! Ryle, Boone, Conner (and even Cooper) all have nice teams. In the 35th CovCath, Holmes, and Holy Cross.
  7. Brown was very tough on the block and gave Maus fits all night. The kid scored 20 something for the game so no one really stopped him. But I thought Eckymans played a little more physical with him and made him work for it. He did lose his composure for a second on the Cruse foul. I wasn't keeping track of how many he scored on both kids but I felt like Eckymans made him work a little harder for the ball. He is a very talented big man who finished extremely well.
  8. Eckymans did play and he played pretty well. He came in in the 2nd half and seemed to frustrate Brown a little bit. Both are very strong and I thought Eckymans did a good job getting physical with him. He is really starting to look like a pretty good option for the Tigers. A lot of that rust is starting to fall off.
  9. Hard to discredit a kids effort when his team didn't help him out. IMO 45 points against a top 5 team in the region is impressive no matter what the final score. The Tigers didn't have anyone else who could score last night, and Boone Co. knew it so they were in Fangman's pocket all night and he still had 45. To me that's impressive. Sure it dissapointing for the Tigers to take one on the chin, but I don't think that makes Fangman's night any less impressive.
  10. And four wins by less than three points. Cooper has been in a bunch of close ones.
  11. I like Dixie big in this one. Lloyd has a nice team but just does not have the horses to hang with a team like Dixie.
  12. If you don't think Both CovCath and Holmes have a shot at the Region title then you have not been watching much basketball. Same can be said for the 33rd. I would say its wide open.

  14. I would love to see teams go back to something like this! Now most kids roll into the gym in their sweats.
  15. This thread was obviously only started to get a reaction from the CCH faithful.
  16. Bellevue played very hard. They kept it close in the first quarter but their lack of depth slowed them down and hurt them in the second quarter and second half. The Tigers did not quit at all and kept fighting until the final buzzer. But I agree with Clyde, it really wasn't close in the second half. Hat's off though to the Tigers for never giving up.
  17. That was the game. Beechwood just could not break their pressure and when they did they took a shot out of control. It seemed like anytime Beechwood would start to chip into the lead they would turn it over and give up a layup. The Tigers start three Sophomores, that youth showed last night for sure.
  18. Nice win for Cooper. I commented in the CCH/Cooper game thread how they keep playing in close games. Make this 8 games decided by three points or less! Cooper is learning how to finish, which can help down the stretch. Congrats to the Coach Sullivan and the Jags!
  19. I believe typically the 9th and 16th have swapped. At least it has been that way the last few years.
  20. I have not followed Cooper other than watching the scores on here. Cooper always seems to be in a close game. So I went back and looked at their schedule and 7 of their 15 games were decided by three points or less. Walton Verona 43-44 (L) Holy Cross 51-52 (L) Model 58-56 (W) Lafayette 48-51 (L) Spencer Co. 51-50 (W) Bishop Brossart 43-40 (W) Cov Cath 56-59 (W) If anything come March Cooper will not be afraid to play in a close one. (For comparison sake CovCath has played in two games this season decided by 3pts or less. Cooper, Mercer Co. both W's)
  21. NCC has a favorable draw. They have the be the favorite with Holy Cross, Lloyd, and Beechwood in the mix.
  22. No he would be talking about NKAC Division III which would include: Beechwood Bellevue Calvary Christian Dayton Heritage Ludlow Silver Grove Villa Madonna
