That's a great point, I kept thinking the tradition would rise the tide....but I never looked at it this way. I guess the same thing could be said for Lloyd, tradition rich, but most of those folks have moved on.

I remember playing CovCath way back in the day when they first opened their field. Of course CovCath wasn't very good then, so it didn't bother us, but I'm sure that it has been an advantage to them for the better part of the last 25+ years. Kids are creatures of habit, take them out of their normal routine and all heck breaks loose! I want to make sure no one misunderstands the above statement, the fact that CovCath has been awfully good the last few decades also plays into that home field advantage....a lesser team maybe not so much.

Juggs are on a roll...congrats to the program. Northern KY high school football seems to be better when Lloyd and Boone Co are relevant. I think this is the year that Lloyd get NewCath.

The key to this victory was Beachwood's ability to run the football, plain and simple. The dictated the trenches and Franklin County had no answer when Beechwood started dialing up play action passes. Most complete game I have seen by Beechwood in the last few years, IMO.

Frankfort is tough, tough, and dare I say it again, tough. Hope it pans out that they play the regional final against Beechwood this year, it should be a great game!

Obviously a typo, not saying the Holmes team is as good as Mt. Healthy, its just that an earlier post said that they had more athletes, trying to equate athletes to good football players. Obviously Mt. Healthy has a very good team, I just think that good football players trump good athletes.

I would agree that Mt. Healthy has more athletes, but Homes has more athletes than BW, hasn't worked well for Homes most years.

I agree this will be tough sledding for the Tigers, Mt. Healthy is very good, and very explosive. If BW is able to consistently run the football it will help in shortening the game, which will be in there favor. Good luck to the Tigers, this should be one heck of a game.

Going with Frankfort in this one, I don't buy into an average 5A team beating an outstanding 1A team.

I love the atmosphere at Ludlow, down by the river, crisp autumn evening...real grass, the whole setting takes me back a few years, I just enjoy the environment.
