The (2-1) Red Colonels come to Newport on Saturday (1:00) to play the (0-3) Thoroughbreds. This is the Breds worst start to a season since they started the 1999 campaign 0-5. This game will end the "brutal" 5A/6A gauntlet before the Breds return to district competition the following week. Each week the Breds have made strides, but have yet to overcome their bigger foes. In the history of this series Dixie owns a 7-14 advantage, however since 2000 the series is tied at 3-3.

New Cath should be able to get somethings done in this game. Will they win, probably not, but I see them being able to make a game of it.

I think NCC came away with a lot learned from the SK game, even with the lopsided score.

Dixie can win this game without trowing a pass. If they aspire to win district, or advance in the playoffs, their passing game will need to improve. This is a game where you work on your passing game. Dixie by three scores.

I think this is the game #3 for NewCath runs wild!

Thanks to Hoops5 for correcting my dyslexic mistake. :lol2::thumb:

Dixie runs and runs. The OL, DL control the game for Dixie.

Dixie might have their hands full NewCath can throw the ball.

Dixie picks the score, will be a long night for the Breds

Dixie won't give QB time to throw.

Dixie should use this game to work on their passing game before district play.

That is a fact. The running will get tougher against the big boys in 6A. If Moore could just be more consistent and effective passing the ball, it will be a big boost to Dixie's chances in 6A.

Can the receivers get open? That was the biggest issue last year.
