Covcath must be the real deal. We'll find out.

Boone actually looked really good the 1st qtr and I thought (except for the muffed punt which led to CCH TD) outplayed the colonels that qtr. then the wheels came off and CCH rolled.

Lamb is really good player but needs weapons around him for Boone.

CCH defense is solid as usual and Wagner had some really nice passes. CCH after the 1st qtr was a machine. Very impressive.

If Boone puts 4 qtrs together I think they win next week.

CovCath looked really good, Wagner throws a nice ball. Colonels look big at quite a few positions. Lamb for Boone Co. throws a nice short ball.

Highlight of the day....meeting newarkcatholicfan, a true high school football "junkie".

Best part of the game, watching it with Lawnboy, Nkuclubaseball, oldbird, Clyde, guru, content1 and finally meeting Newarkcatholicfan.

"Heat" lol I heard the Rebels tapped out and just sugarcoated it with the heat. Regardless, Colonels were rolling and weren't going to be stopped. The second half would have been ugly, with a final score around 80. Good luck to Boone this season.

Teams sub before it gets to 80. For example Highlands was up on Covcath one year 55-0 at half. I thought it might be the year Highlands scored 120 on them. It ended up like 62-0. Highlands called off the dogs. That's what coaches do in those situations. Sounds like Boone had a good 1st qtr to build on.

I missed out. Wish I would have went! :D

Boone looked pretty good offensively and defensively for much of the first quarter but the second quarter was a whole different story.

CCH played extremely well and pulled away with their hurry up offense. Wagner threw a very good ball and the BCHS defense couldn't stop them.

I hope the kids that got knocked up will recover just fine.

And yes it was great to watch the game with LB13, HB and Clyde. Meeting new people like Guru, Newarkcatholicfan and oldbird made it even better. Good to see content1 out as well.

Me too, you could have bought breakfast.

I thought Boone's defense got tired quickly. It was a good first quarter for Boone. If not for the muffed put, Boone could have really gotten some confidence.

Some refresh me on the heat rule for KY. There is a high school game on ESPN and its 105 on the field at the moment.

Several other games were finished in KY this morning, this wasn't called because of the heat, IMO.

Heat Index >= 95

Is there a different heat index rule for soccer? NDA and the Birds are playing now and it is much hotter.
