Is there a different heat index rule for soccer? NDA and the Birds are playing now and it is much hotter.

I'm pretty sure all sports follow the same guidelines. I agree, it wasn't due to the heat.

Score wasn't an indicator of how close this should have been. Lamb was solid in the 1st quarter and threw good balls. Boone moved the ball well until dropped passes and turnovers stopped drives. Credit cchs defense for locking down their red zone defense. The punt return fumble recovery and INT thrown directly to Zumdick were key plays.

 

The blue colonels don't make many mistakes and capitalized on Boones. Congrats to the colonels on the W. Curious though, was the game called do to heat index or did Boone say "uncle?" I came home and the temp was 82 at CVG. Thought the reason for the push back time were concerns about heat?

It could have been closer or it could have been worse. Boone's lone TD was on the same drive Lamb was intercepted and CCH was called for roughing the passer which kept the drive alive. CCH had probably 10 penalties called on them for false starts, illegal procedures which constantly put them in 1st or 2nd and longs.

Best part of the game, watching it with Lawnboy, Nkuclubaseball, oldbird, Clyde, guru, content1 and finally meeting Newarkcatholicfan.

 

Just to show you how much of a fan newarkcatholicfan is.......Last night he was at Mason County (Mason Co/Newport), drove up to Park Hills this morning for the CovCath/Boone tilt, and later this afternoon is heading down to Mt. Sterling for the Montgomery County Rec Bowl featuring George Rogers Clark vs. Rowan Co. & Bourbon Co vs Montgomery Co.

Boone looked pretty good offensively and defensively for much of the first quarter but the second quarter was a whole different story.

 

CCH played extremely well and pulled away with their hurry up offense. Wagner threw a very good ball and the BCHS defense couldn't stop them.

 

I hope the kids that got knocked up will recover just fine.

 

And yes it was great to watch the game with LB13, HB and Clyde. Meeting new people like Guru, Newarkcatholicfan and oldbird made it even better. Good to see content1 out as well.

I'm excited about this CCH team. Their offense is one of the fastest I recall with all those track guys on the outside and Wagner running the show. Defense will get better.

The last TD pass, the Boone Co. defender was a good 10 yards behind the receiver, and Wagner led him perfectly and dropped the ball right in his arms.....SWEET. But the 29 YD TD pass in the corner of the endzone was a perfect pass and catch play. :ylsuper:

The temp given by the airport or the news is the temp in the shade. Temp taken for games and practice is taken in the sun at the location of the planned activity.

 

My vehicle temp reading, parked in the sun, showed 84 degrees.

104 or above is the rule i do believe.
