  1. In reading this thread I have wasted 20 minutes of my life that I can never get back. Holy sheep crap, who is the best, who isn't the best, really! Obviously Barker has the offers and commitment to UK, which of course UK#1 fan claims to have an inside source who tells him that UK doesn't really think Barker is the best, I guess we will see the second week of February when letters of intent are signed. Kuntz is good, really good, will not be surprised to see him playing on Saturdays at EKU, Murray or another Missouri Valley type school, maybe even in the MAC. I personally didn't see him ascending to this level, and I am glad I am wrong. I personally don't know much about the QB from Highlands, but if Dale has him as the #1 I'm sure he's pretty darn good, Highlands QB's get accused of being system QB's, and I'm not sure that's fair, but it may be a point. All three are darn good players and most everyone would love to have them take control of their huddle, lets celebrate we have this level of talent in NKY and not split hairs over who has averages .1 more yards per rush!
  2. Heard the same rumor, but I think we have all heard the same rumor for the past several years. It makes sense on some level, but when you start trying to figure out who is going to lose their job due to duplication of services...well that's where it gets a little tricky. I personally would love to see it from a sports perspective, but realistically I don't see it happening, at least not in my lifetime.
  3. I only wish I could make the trek southwest to see this game, it is going to be a doozy!
  4. No surprises here, Mayfield is clearly the team to beat.
  5. SK names the score, just a matter of how long they want to keep Kuntz and company in the game.
  6. I think BW wins by a comfortable margin, just hope they don't start looking forward to Newcath, if they do it could be more interesting than they would like.
  7. This is one of those stories that puts everything else in perspective, great job by both teams, a story that puts a lump in your throat the size of a basketball.
  8. Nice win for the JV Tigers, they continue to improve while playing a tough, large school schedule. Good luck next week against the Breds.
  9. God bless the Brossart family and may the spirit of the lord lift them during this difficult time.
  10. Nice win for the JV Tigers, as I have said before, the only class A team that fields a JV team and competes at a high level against 4,5 and 6A teams, that and tough scheduling is one of the secrets of success for coach Rash.
  11. Physical game, the kids from Bellevue are tough as nails. This is a good Bellevue team that is going to provide problems to whomever they face in the playoffs. The tough early season schedule has helped to mature BW and hopefully propell them into a deep playoff run.
  12. Quite impressive, Dixie didnt help last night with the klunker they played, but still an impressive record overall.
  13. Not with Scott County standing in the way, IMO
  14. Scott County has got to be the frontrunner for the state title in 6A, at least IMO.
  15. Congrats to Male on a huge win.
  16. IMO its going to be a good one, how will all the replacement players from CovCath and the young tigers react to being on the big stage? Big physical offensive lines like Dixie have given BW some problems, but as VOR pointed out there have been some changes to both personnel and scheme, which has seemed to have helped. BW offensive line has struggles a bit with big physical fronts as well, but think they have played much better the past couple of weeks. I look for the game to be decided by 7 or less.
  17. Good recap, great game Tigers, continue playing all the 5A and 6A teams you can in JV, it only makes you better for the future!
  18. No offense to anyone, but a nice win is a nice win, there are no pictures in the win and loss column. BW has to get better and minimize youthful mistakes if they want to make a serious post season run, taking huge sacks and dropping numerous passes are mistakes that will cost you dearly against better teams, see last week vs. Franklin County.
  19. Travis Bryson is a darn good rb, having Powell out for a few weeks will not hurt SK IMO.
  20. Not trying to pour it on, so to speak, but for the last couple of years all I have heard about is the talented Ryle freshmen teams and how good they were going to be once they made it to varsity......I think we are all still waiting. Not that I am a fan of blaming the coach first and foremost for their poor record, but they have bodies in the system, what is going wrong, personally I think it is time for a change.
  21. I could not agree more, I was not trying to show any disrespect for the Scott program, I am tickled to death that they are having great success this year, maybe now some of the kids who should go to Scott will stay in the program. Now I am officially stirring the pot!
  22. I agree that for some reason BW typically plays a lackluster game against the Bulldogs, last year they had Nussbaum out and Erdman got hurt on the third series, that pretty much sealed the fate of the Tigers, they had few weapons left in their arsenal. This year I see them passing the ball to set up the run much like they did at Franklin County. Other than the fumble it was Stringers best effort carrying the football this year, I look for BW to win by 14, but you never know till you tee it up.
  23. Sub par, for Pete's sake, Aiken only showed up with 15 kids, what would you call that.....loaded?
  24. Now that is funny right there, 23 years for myself and I can say with complete conviction....oh, sorry dear, never mind!
