I already started a prayer request thread in the Break Room forum, but Guru and I thought this would be an appropriate place to mention this as well. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with the Brossart family, their friends, and the Dixie Heights community.

 

Dave's wife Kristina passed away this morning after battling cancer. She also leaves behind her son Cary (Cov Cath '11) and daughter Carson (Notre Dame Academy '13).

Prayers and thoughts to Dave, his family, and friends in hopes they find comfort knowing that she is no longer suffering and she will watch over them in all facets of life.

 

God saw that she was getting tired

And a cure was not to be,

So He put His arms around her and

Whispered "Come with Me"

With tearful eyes we watched her suffer

And saw her fade away.

Although we couldn't bear to lose her,

We could not bid her stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands laid to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best.

Coach Brossart has certainly had to deal with a lot that is so hard compared to football. Our prayers, sympathy and support from Union are with you while mourning and coping with a great loss. May God's strength and peace be with you, your family and the Dixie community!
