Voice of Reason
Beechwood scored on the opening drive, QB Grant Plageman hitting Clay McHugh on a 14 yard TD pass just 3 minutes into the game. The Camels then had a long drive and had it 1st and goal at the 1. Two running plays got stuffed. Then McHugh intercepted a pass and took it 101 yards the other way for the Tigers' second TD. Beechwood missed both extra point kicks so it was 12-0 Tigers with 1:34 to go in the first quarter. Campbell County made it 12-6 on a 5 yard run by 6'7" QB Matt Wilson with 2:25 to go in the half. In the second half, Beechwood was able to recover a couple fumbles. RB Casey Erdman made both fumbles hurt as he scored on TD runs of 5 yards and 7 yards on the possession following each fumble. Beechwood missed on 2 point tries after both TD's and that gives us the final score of 24-6. Campbell County moved the ball fairly well but Beechwood's defense was able to stop long drives on downs or on turnovers. Beechwood also turned it over twice on interceptions but was able to get the defensive stop after the turnover.

Good recap, great game Tigers, continue playing all the 5A and 6A teams you can in JV, it only makes you better for the future!
