Beechwood 27 Cooper 0 (JV )

Featured Replies

As you would expect on a rainy day, both teams had a little trouble holding on to the ball. Both teams had to work for every yard they got on offense. Beechwood did a better job making offensive plays and big plays when they needed them. The Beechwood defense didn't allow Cooper to do anything all day. The Jaguars never really threatened to score. Beechwood put up one TD per quarter. End result is Beechwood wins 27-0. Here are the scoring plays:

Q1

5:07 QB Grant Plageman 75 yard TD run; XP no good; Beechwood 7-0

Q2

00 (last play of the half) Plageman to Clay McHugh 19 yard TD pass; Mario German XP; 13-0

Q3

2:02 Plageman 4 yard TD run; German XP; 20-0

Q4

6:44 Plageman 1 yard TD run; German XP; 27-0

FINAL Beechwood 27 Cooper 0

As lionscoach mentioned, Beechwood has added one more game to their JV schedule and will play Newport Central Catholic next Saturday 10:00am at Beechwood.

Nice win for the JV Tigers, they continue to improve while playing a tough, large school schedule. Good luck next week against the Breds.

Seems some of these kids are seeing more time on Varsity during this part of the schedule...and making plays on the varsity level....

JV team really dominating on defense the last few weeks. Future is bright.
