Scott County 70 Henry Clay 34

Scott County (7-0) beats Henry Clay 70-34, its 16th win in row over Lexington teams.

Hard to believe it was 21-20 Scott County just before the half.

Sounds like the Cardinals definitely turned it up an extra notch in the second half. Looking like 6A will finish more entertaining this year in comparison to the previous few.

Scott County has got to be the frontrunner for the state title in 6A, at least IMO.

I have a hard time thinking that Scott County is the frontrunner for the 6A title with the defense I saw them play last night.

Henry Clay had 45 plays from scrimmage for 556 yards, including 334 rushing yards.....and lost by 5 touchdowns.

Henry Clay has some dynamic offensive firepower and can hurt high school defenses. Scott County is the front runner in my mind as well. Seeing St. X being beaten by several teams, Trinity struggling to beat Manual. Scott County Has the firepower to defintiely win it all. They gave a great Trinity team all they wanted last year and should have beat them. They brought most of that team back. Who is better then them? Seriously....

The Cardinals will have to visit Marshall Stadium the day after Thanksgiving to prove it.

I'm with strongopenyen, the top 6A in the state should not be giving up over 500 yards to HC.

I'm with strongopenyen' date=' the top 6A in the state should not be giving up over 500 yards to HC.[/quote']

Should they give up over 400 yards in the air to the Manual QB???

So by this logic Highlands High School should not be the favorite to win 5A because they gave up 455 yards of offense to Bryan Station (3-3)? Or is the standard different...

Scott County is not the front runner. The Henry Clay win helped them some in this discussion, but until someone beats Trinity, Trinity is the front runner. I am very cautious on Scott County because they have played such a weak schedule.

True but they have beat those teams by large amounts. Now PRP was in the finals last year. Ryle is one of the better 6A programs in NKY, Madison Central is down but is a bigger 6A program in the area. Now Clark Co., North Hardin used to be good but have been down lately. Lafayette has been on the rise for several years. Not saying that this year these teams are not young and don't help anyone's SOS but they have beat them all handedly as they should. I guess people will just have to wait until later in the year to make a determination. But they have put up 401 points of offense in 7 ball games and only gave up just over 100 or so, most I would say were scored against JV since they have won so big. I do know that HC has 2 great running backs so not sure much can be said on the yardage gave up the other night. Just my opinion

You tell me. I think not.

Bryan Station accumulated about 300 of those yards after a running clock against the 2nd and 3rd team defense in the second half. Looking at the scoring by quarter, it looks like HC was quite successful against Scott Co.'s ones.

One thing I do know is that HHS has NO CHANCE to win 5A this year!

PRP was last years team. Ryle is horrendous this year. And you're saying teams "used to be good". Their SOS is terrible. You can't deny that. Are they beating them like they should, yes. But they will be extremely untested come playoff time and that could really hurt them. It's a whole different game when you all of a sudden have to really play to win and things don't happen as easy as you're used to.
