Scott County 70 Henry Clay 34

You tell me. I think not.

Bryan Station accumulated about 300 of those yards after a running clock against the 2nd and 3rd team defense in the second half. Looking at the scoring by quarter, it looks like HC was quite successful against Scott Co.'s ones.

That is correct, Elijah Bell had success against SC's ones early on, but I'd be hard pressed to see any team in the state contain that kid to zero yards. Bell broke two huge runs early and had a 72-yard pass out of the backfield for a TD. There's 260 or so of those yards right there. The other kid Jackson is no slouch either and squirted loose for a few big ones.

But HC had 230 or so yards in the second half when SC was subbing on defense and leading by at least three scores.

When SC was backed into the corner leading 28-20 with HC on the 13-yard line looking to score the defense made a pick in the endzone, and then the offense scored two TDs in the final 2 min. of the half.

The schedule weakness is spot-on, and I agree wholeheartedly that until someone in this state beats T they are top dogs. But IMO SC should not be counted out as a contender.

One thing I do know is that HHS has NO CHANCE to win 5A this year!

Oops!! Lol.

PRP was last years team. Ryle is horrendous this year. And you're saying teams "used to be good". Their SOS is terrible. You can't deny that. Are they beating them like they should, yes. But they will be extremely untested come playoff time and that could really hurt them. It's a whole different game when you all of a sudden have to really play to win and things don't happen as easy as you're used to.

Not disagreeing on the SOS at all. But it is not like coaches say hey coach you want to play a game because I think you guys are going to suck this year. You look for opponents you think are good and yes history is part of that tell. A lot of these teams may be down this year but most of it is due to youth it sounds like so maybe these teams will give them a better game, IDK. I do know that they will hit that test the Friday after Thanksgiving and we will see if the SOS is what hurt them or helped them get over the hump.
