Will HHS - Campbell County become a bigger rivalry than HHS - Cov Cath?

Featured Replies

Considering what we have seen so far this year is this a possibility?

I would say it is a possibility as long as the birds keep blowing out the colonels.

I think the score of the Campbell County game had more to do with when it was played than anything else. If they played next week I think it wouldn't be nearly as close.

Hard to fathom but growing up Beechwood's big rival was Ludlow.

Now you did it. Better define your idea of rival and be ready to defend it. I don't know if it will but this one here has been overblown for outsiders for awhile.

The rival doesn't change.

Can't be the top rival if they are not in the same class. As long as Highlands and CovCath are in the same class and same district they will always be each other's top rival.

CovCath needs to win to be a rival. Now its just a game CovCath grts excited about and Highlands laughs at as they keep blowing them out.

Maybe a little; Campbell deserves credit for its improvement. If not for one quarter, Highlands could have lost.

Do you think Highlands showed all their cards or kept it vanilla on both sides of the ball that game? I missed that game. But, after the first qtr domination, Highlands coasted. I'd say Highlands would running clock Campbell County right now.

I don't think so other than the fact it has been our best NKY opponent to date...

My idea of a rival is a team that gets in the way of something you want really badly and CCHS does not pose a threat over then bragging rights...:thumb:

Now CovCath on the other hand...

If you're asking me if I thought they played to lose, I'd say the answer is no. Highlands may beat the Camels again, but I don't think the result is much different if any. NKY 6A is a lot better than people want to believe; nothing like it was a few years ago.

No, the Camels will not replace any team as an arch-rival anytime soon.

I just heard the 8Th grade CC team ran the score up on a 7/8 th grade FTJRFL Blue team. Up 50 pts the Camels ran a play for a score. Keep in mind this team only has 7 Ft Thomas 8Th graders the rest are 7th graders. Real classy CC coaches.

Thats real nice go ahead and get your feel good win lol.

When you all beat Highlands in a Varsity football game let us all know.

You just "heard", right? Within 3 minutes, CC was up 3 scores. That's right, 3 minutes! HMS's first 2 offensive plays resulted in 2 straight turnovers. CC's first team scored on one play virtually any time they ran a play in the first half. If CC coaches were classless, they wouldn't have put their 2's in in the 2nd quarter and they'd have won 80-0. Get your facts straight before ripping a program or coaching staff regarding a game you didn't even attend. The game proved nothing for the Camels or the Birds. Just one of those days. Congrats to the Birds for scheduling us. They have some nice talent on that team and I wish them well.
