Highlands/CovCath is not a rivalry to start with. 458-152...that's the score in their last 12 meetings...all of which HHS won.

 

HHS has made CCH its own personal play toy.

You just "heard", right? Within 3 minutes, CC was up 3 scores. That's right, 3 minutes! HMS's first 2 offensive plays resulted in 2 straight turnovers. CC's first team scored on one play virtually any time they ran a play in the first half. If CC coaches were classless, they wouldn't have put their 2's in in the 2nd quarter and they'd have won 80-0. Get your facts straight before ripping a program or coaching staff regarding a game you didn't even attend. The game proved nothing for the Camels or the Birds. Just one of those days. Congrats to the Birds for scheduling us. They have some nice talent on that team and I wish them well.

Oh Lord! Some people need to grow up. They put their TWOs in in the 2nd quarter, what else do you want them to do, put the managers in? Those kids deserve as much playing time as any. So I guess you are ok with a HIGH SCHOOL program running the score up, just not middle school? You can't have it both ways!

While I agree that HHS has improved since game one does everyone think the Camels have been plowing the fields and working the Fair since game 1?

Oh how soon bluebird fans forget. They wrote the book on running up the score on people. Why do you think no one in NKY would play them when Dale was coach. They were far superior in every way to the teams they were playing and would not just beat people but continually crush people. No taking a knee, no running the ball instead of throwing passes, etc. Let me ask you this, do you think its a coincidence that teams are scheduling Highlands now that Dale retired?

If you weren't at the game how do you say Highlands coasted? Maybe CC finally realized that they can play with anyone if they put there mind to it. Do you think Highlands showed all their cards or kept it vanilla on both sides of the ball that game? I missed that game. But, after the first qtr domination, Highlands coasted. I'd say Highlands would running clock Campbell County right now.

If you have a problem regarding a game you DID NOT SEE, you may want to check out your program first. Should CC have taken a knee on every play? That's what it would've taken to NOT put a fifty burger on your team. Practically every play was a TD. At least 5 CC touchdowns were scored with a player going untouched.

If you want to say that go ahead. Campbell is as far out of CCH's league as CCH is out of Highlands on most days, so if you want to make that your new rival go ahead.

It is not "free game" at the Varsity level and any good high school Head Coach knows that and for the most part they show sportsmanship. They play everyone because they know what goes around comes around regarding running up the score.

I don't consider Highlands and Campbell County a rivalry game by any means currently and I'm sure many others don't. If you're talking about now, how are the Camels far out of Cov Cath's league?

Can't be the top rival if they are not in the same class. As long as Highlands and CovCath are in the same class and same district they will always be each other's top rival.

 

I will disagree. Beechwood's regular season rivals are undoubtedly Covington Catholic and Newport Catholic. Those are the two teams Beechwood is challenged by and wants to beat more than any other.
