Derek Smith was a very good player, I believe he finished top 3. He was a manchild in that backyard football offense.

I'm sure that other players on this list might fall into this catergoy, but Juan Thomas had outstanding stats both running the football and from his DE position. I honestly believe the Juan's bid for Mr. Football in 1990 was sealed when Lincoln County decided shut him down on offense and let the rest of the Tomcats, for the most part, run wild. Of course there was a pretty good back that won it that year, but IMO Thomas contributed more to his team.

Kaelin Ammons was decent.

And about 2 feet taller than everyone else on his tee ball team.Still got the pick, he was large.

I like Eric Shelton in this one.

Brent Grover is another Highlands guy that was tough!
