CatsCatsCats
This kind of makes you wonder if Meyer maybe knew something about all this way back when, when he decided to "retire"....:idunno: Just throwing it out there. I had that same thought today. Glad to know I'm not crazy for thinking that, or maybe we're both nuts :thumb:.
hrcarrier
No surprise; I would be surprised to see him get fired though. He will face some kind of disciplinary issue.
Jumper_Dad
NCAA is going to be so ticked at O$U, that Bruce Pearl and UT Basketball could get the death penalty. yeah I know I stole this but it's still good...and true Edited March 9, 2011 by Jumper_Dad word filter violation
Jumper_Dad
No way O$U suspends him for half of the conf games the way UT did Pearl. They may suspend him for the first four games against non conf but that would be it.

RomanEmpire
Expected the self imposed to be a softball. Predict they will be expanded by the NCAA. Could be much worse.
gchs_uk9
^ First 2 games Akron and Toldeo. Laying the hammer down... I know. Third game of the season is at Miami (Florida). Wonder why they randomly chose two games instead of more? And if he's just as guilty as the players, why didn't he get five games also?

swamprat
I would agree if it was anyone but Wetzel behind the story... Guess you're right. I'm somewhat stunned at his confession and apology, and the way the University is handling it. Seems like a blatant stub of the NCAA rules. I would not be surprised, if there are no further sanctions by the NCAA, though.
Clyde
Between the 2-gamer for Vest and the players involved being allowed to play in the bowl the AD is looking extremely weak.
mobaar
NCAA absolutely HAS to step up here and with Pearl. 2 games is a joke.
