Just like it's never good when "60 Minutes" comes knocking at your door it's never good when Wetzel busts out a story on you and potential transgressions.

I obviously am a big OSU and Tressel fan. I in no way going to try and make excuses for and/or defend Tressel. I am very dissapointed in coach Tressel that it seems that he knew about this months in advance and didn't address it with the administration if that is what it seems too be. I am sure more will come out on this and just what he knew and the situation around it.

I saw just a clip of the Tressel OSU presser. Coach Tressel apologized or his poor decisions/actions by not discussing/asking the university legal representatives about this when he should have. Depending on just what was involved and if anything else is found by the University asministration he could lose his job. I don't know when the NCAA will address/investigate or rule on this. I hope that there are no sanctions put on OSU and/or no more on Tressel. Should the NCAA place further penalties then there is nothing I could say about it. Jim Tressel has always handled himself and represented tOSU with nothing but class.

I would hate to see any further penalties put on the football program and/or Tressel. Having said that, should either or both happen then it would be a major setback to the football program but they will survive.

I am now and will continue to be an Ohio State football fan.

Protecting a criminal investigation my rear end. It was an attempted cover up. Plain and simple...

I think it hurts his credability on the recruiting trail when he's looking kids mothers and fathers in the eye. I also think college sports is a dirty, dirty business when it comes to teams at the top especially.

The cover up is always worse than the transgression. What the kids did is not a mortal sin in my book.

Seems like Tressel maybe letting the inmates run the asylum...

I wonder if Public Reaction would be less scathing if Tressel had taken a stand at the bowl game and suspended the players then?

Gee also said he had not considered dismissing the Buckeyes coach.
