The first fumble was CAUSED by a great hit. The interception was on 3&12 and it was 30 yards downfield. Ashland had several false starts and their fullback went the wrong way on a crucial 4th and 2. Plus, they stalled out two times in the red zone. Maybe they laid the egg?

How did Johnson Central lay an egg? Ashland got zero points on two red zone possessions.

Ashland was the better team but sometimes that's not enough. JC had 150 yards of offense and 7 first downs. I don't mean that to be disrespectful of JC because they have a great program, I was just surprised. To be honest, going into the game I thought JC would win by 2 touchdowns.

Agree 100% but it's hard for 5 or 6 to block 8. Ashland would be very good without Baker but with him they are a title contender.

I don't think Ashland can beat JC with 0 passing yards. There's the weak spot.

I would love to know Baker's YAC. Someone said in the game thread he was the best high school running back they had seen. I will say he is the best running back in Ashland's modern history and it isn't close.

He did run right and left tonight he simply shook defender to the turf. He has tremendous "wiggle" it's incredible to watch at times.
