Private teams in playoffs

They and Fort Knox are both included in prop 20

Thought you might want to know the right answer on this one. Proposal 20 was properly amended by the delegates to move FT Knox and FT Campbell to the public side since they received all of the Federal programs that public schools receive such as free and assisted lunch, etc. Looks like the member schools were aware that their jurisdiction only went so far. :thumb:

IMO We really don't have to look very far to see the debate between public and private school sports. First Lex. Cat. and now Lex. Christian both at first were not on the football radar 10 years or so ago, now both have a shot at state titles, If you can get the playmakers and numbers you can win many games. It's not just football but all the sports, boys and girls. Don't know the answer but private schools will dominate the future.

Fort Campbell is not a private school, guys. It is a public school, albeit one that is only open to dependents of the U.S. Army personnel that are assigned to the post. It is similar to an independent district.

The Department of Defense schools can't take just anyone, like private schools do. When Joe Jaggers coached at Fort Knox, his son Crad couldn't play for him because Jaggers wasn't enlisted. That played a role in Jaggers' decision to go to North Hardin, where his son played QB for him.

How many TOTAL Publics and how many TOTAL Privates are in the state?

Then what do the %'es look like that are remaining in the final 32 teams?

Can anyone assist with this information?

48 of 282 schools are "private." Seven of those are still in the playoffs I believe.
