mhighfield
Mason turned it over on there 1st 3 possessions and Campbell scored on the 3 short fields and that was pretty much it.Royals were pushed around pretty good tonight,Congrats to the Camels on a good game.Campbell was 1st class also as they had the ball on the 2 at the end of the game and took a knee instead of scoring again. All In
Royals take a whupping at home, guess they won't run the table. Things will have to improve mightily before the Red Devils roll into town in a few weeks or things could get uglier. Anyone catch Chiefsmoke post-game talk on WFTM, couldn't have been happy with tonight.

Anyone catch Chiefsmoke post-game talk on WFTM, couldn't have been happy with tonight. Coach B isn't very happy at all. Very discouraged with his team's play as he stated on the radio. I will say this, for whatever its worth, Campbell Co.s first three tds were a result of MC turnovers. Had they not turned the ball over like they did, we're talking a 7-7 ballgame in the 4th quarter. Obviously, turnovers are part of the game, but those aside, Mason was right there. Hard loss for the Royals, but they'll be fine.
mcpapa
Too much #14 (although Mason's #14 was all over the field and played his heart out), too much CC precision on offense, and of course too many turnovers for the Royals to threaten tonight. Missing our starting WR/CB and TB, not to mention losing J. Huron to what looked like a knee didn't help either, but no excuses - Campbell County was the better squad tonight. Probably the best timing there could be for a bye week!
ALLSTAR MVP
Campbell played a great game last night. A 7-7 ball game going into the fourth quarter, I do not know what game you were watching. The game should have been 35-0 Camels at half if there aren't two blown calls by the refs in the first half.... Yes Mason had alot of turnovers but what about that Camel Defense. They were very very physical last night and it looked like Mason wanted nothing to do with that. Look out for the Camels, down the strech here as the Offense is coming around and the D is always good... Great game Camels and Mason. Good Luck.. CC had their way all night long on both sides of the ball. CC Offense is improving with each week. Lots of weapons. QB Eshman (#14) showed great poise & athleticism in his inaugural start. Glad to see MC on the schedule as this will surely become an annual "Battle Royale".:fight: Great job Camels! Also, an outstanding showing by Camel Fan Caravan to Maysville. Teams do not want to tackle people like Tolle,Cox,Turner if they would throw more to the TE and FB more it would open up the running game for Cox to roll and run which he loves to do,there has to be a balance. CC scored off three turnovers, thats what I'm talking about. Saw the same game as you did ALLSTAR, and am not trying to take anything away from CC at all, but defensively in the second half, Mason Co. held the Camels to 1 TD. I simply stated that had Mason not turned the ball over 3 times, this could have been a totally different ballgame.
The Mad Stork
Mason basically ran into a very good 6A team on a night when they didn't bring their "A" game. Campbell County was bigger, more physical, and had many players going one way. I was very impressed with their execution of their offense and their discipline on defense. They are very well coached and their two backers #50 and #59 are the best we have played against thus far. Their line dominated our line and we basically got beat. Their D caused the turnovers and shut us down all night. That being said I know our boys will file this one away and get to work on teams in our own classification(3A). This was a bump on the road time to get healthy during the bye week and concentrate on 3A opponents week by week. KEEP YOUR FOCUS AND YOUR EYES ON THE PRIZE!!!!!!!!!!!This game will help us down the road because the only other 3A school going to war with 2 quality 6A schools (like Boone and Campbell) that I know of is Central. :thumb:

Old Soda
Have never seen two inadvertent whistle calls cost two TD in a game like last night. If those plays hadn't been blown dead by the refs it would have been 35-0 at halftime. I think the Royals were done at that point. Even though those plays were called back it still established the tone for the game. Camels D definitely put on the big hits last night.
memyselfandi
I think total offensive yards says it all about this game. Campbell Co - 403 Mason Co -
