A letter was released by the school district announcing the cancellation of the season. They stated they wouldn’t be able to return to practice until November 4th and therefore would not have enough time to prepare their athletes for competition. I wonder if we will see more of this in the red counties. 

 

I bet the kids would want to play practice or not. Sad!

Very sad.  As an athlete, you would definitely want to play.

Especially the SRs who never get to strap it up again.  I’m sure they would take their chances with 6 days to prepare for a game. 

I really hate it for the players, especially the seniors!  I just can't imagine what that feeling would be like.

Not at all! 

Bad situation for those seniors. One bright spot is the b-ball players that play football will get a head start on the uncertain season. Hopefully we will get to see some b-ball. With a new coach,  system and losing Sebastian they need all the reps they can get. 

I've always liked Jerry Perry and still do and I don't think this was his decision but he supported it.  I do know he would protect his players at all cost and I think echoed that in his support.  Just hate it for the players.
