bugatti
^ I agree....I do think that Arizona would be hard to pass up...there are a lot of natural weapons there, top notch facilties..etc...a small market...this one would legitimately scare me.Plus the fact all of his Cardinal gear will still be in style in AZ. futurecoach
Petrino has let it be known that he is happy in Louisville and will not be leaving How many coaches probably in just the last 5 years, have said they are happy and wont be leaving, but then they still end up leaving... BigColonel
Only someone with no place else to go would take the NFL Cardinal job.

02Ram54
I hear a lot more about Pete Carroll being the guy at the top of Arizona's wish list. He'd be crazy to do it, but so would Petrino. The biggest reason I think Petrino might turn it down is that Arizona has skills position players without a solid base to the offense: the line. They're several years away from being able to consistantly run the ball, because the line play is just POOR. Look at how they're wasting the Edge. And Petrino loves to run the ball out of multiple sets, and that takes line play, because you have to give up certain tactical advantages about where the size and strength gets placed. letabrotherspeak
Carroll has been there and done that, NFL that is. Presently, it is cool to be at USC. Phoenix is one of the finest places one can live in the USA right now. It is booming, particluarly on the outskirts.
