In order to make your over-reaching analogy even remotely relevant to the topic, we would have to assume that I was suspected of being ready to carry out a planned homicide. So, if we assume that the authorities feel that it is a matter of life and death and that by surveilling me they may be able to prevent a homicide...Then yes. I'm good with that. But only for me. Not every citizen in the United States.
