The law is clearly intended to make it more difficult to terminate a pregnancy. Let's call it what it is, rather than use the subterfuge of "opportunity".

Why not legislation that may make it more difficult to initiate a pregnancy? Another momentous decision. And yes, I understand that not everyone uses ED Rx for the sole purpose of achieving pregnancy.

I think it's amusing that so many old guys have their proverbial shorts in a wad.

It does not make it more difficult, unless by that you mean it makes the woman understand it's a human life and not just some useless baggage. She can still get the abortion.

Okay, lets make this even and fair. I will concede that I (and all men) have to get my (their) wife's permission if I (they) ever need Viagra so long as pregnant women have to get the father's permission to abort the child. Now we're dealing with an apples to apples analogy. Let's get the bill written and passed.

No. I think you were claiming you would in post #44. I think you're trying to play a gotcha game with me, it's not working.

You're right RTS, I would not support more gun control that a Democratic Governor shoved down our throats the minute he/she took office which is exactly why I would be saying "You Go" to the Republican equivalent (HB 223) of Mary Lou Marzian's bill (HB 369) as outlined in post #44 if any Democratic Governor signed a new KY gun law restricting our 2nd Amendment Rights.

You are absolutely right RTS. I would be disappointed in the Democratic Governor just like I am in Bevin.

However, I would be saying "You go" to the Republican Lawmaker introducing House Bill 223 that would require new gun purchase applicants to get written permission from the NRA (forcing you to join the NRA) to make the purchase. Additionally, HB223 would require you to visit a second gun shop/dealer to discuss the best gun for your shooting application. You would have to tell that gun dealer and the NRA what you intend to use this gun for. You still would be allowed to purchase the gun from a dealer of your choice but only after getting written permission from the NRA and meeting with a second gun dealer at least 24 hours before making the purchase.

HB223 would not be a restriction or any infringement on your right to bear to arms in KY but rather an opportunity for you to benefit from the NRA's benevolence and an opportunity for you to consider more than one gun dealer/gun for your stated reason of purchase.

Opportunity = impediment. I hear you.:thumb:

I am not a fan of Government intervention, but when the objective is saving an innocent child from being murdered, an additional step to try to prevent that is a step in the right direction.

How do you feel about the Federal Government collecting every text, every email, every phone call (audio recording), every place you travel, every person you associate with, everything you buy, every search engine request, every website visited, every medical record, etc. of every American Citizen?

See, it's the gotcha game.

And as I said earlier, Mary Lou Marzian's bill is nothing but a waste of time and taxpayer money, she's looking for her 15 minutes of fame, that's all. If she and all the "it's a woman's body and her choice to do what she wants with it" crowd really felt that way they'd be fighting for their right to prostitution if they wanted to do so.
