I was curious as to which schools played the most teams that are still alive in the playoffs. This is what I found, mainly the local area teams.

Corbin - 7

North Laurel - 4

Knox Central - 4

Lynn Camp - 3

Whitley Co. - 3

South Laurel - 2

Williamsburg - 2

ST X - 7

Lexington Catholic - 4

LCA - 3

Southwestern - 5

How many have other teams played?

Henry Clay has seven opponents who made the playoffs. The teams and their records are as follows:

Belfry (9-2)

Boyle Co. (10-1)

Bell Co. (9-2)

Christian Co. (7-4)

Scott Co. (6-5)

Dunbar (9-2)

Lafayette (6-5)

Six of the seven won their first playoff game. Only Lafayette was defeated.

Interesting topic.

Only teams in 4 or 5 team districts could have a large number that made the playoffs and are still in it. An eight team district means that a team has to play seven district opponents. Of those, four will not make the playoffs. The total number that they could have would be 6. While it is impressive that Highlands played nine teams that made the playoffs, it is hard to compare these when you consider the size of the various districts.
