  1. Zach dropped because he and his family set an amount it would take to sign. If he didn't get that amount he was going to college. They made it know what that amount was to several scouts. Zach is a great player and had a great college freshman year. So, many clubs were not ready to meet his set amount. So, Zach is in college for 2 years. He is draft eligible after his Soph year because of age.

  4. No flag. Announcer said it could have gone either way about a penalty. Tough call. Hit low, then high that caused the injury.
  5. Bluegrass-Buckeye Charity Holiday Classic (Dec. 13-14) Bank of Kentucky Center Info from the Enquirer. Saturday 12:30 pm St. Xavier vs Mason County 2:15 pm Moeller vs Scott Sunday 1:00 pm Georgetown (Ohio) vs. Ryle 2:30 pm Oak Hills vs. St. Henry (Ky.) 4:15 pm Covington Catholic vs Highlands 6:30 pm Holmes vs Scott County Greater Catholic League basketball powers St. Xavier and Moeller will be among teams playing in the Bluegrass-Buckeye Charity Holiday Classic this weekend (Dec. 13-14) at the Bank of Kentucky Center, on the campus of Northern Kentucky University. Action begins Saturday when St. Xavier, a 2008 Ohio Division I state semifinalist, faces defending Kentucky state champ Mason County at 12:30p.m. Moeller, the 2008 Ohio Division I Associated Press state poll champ, will play Scott at 2:15 p.m. Saturday. The classic resumes Sunday with two more interstate match-ups: Georgetown (Ohio) vs. Ryle at 1 p.m., and Oak Hills vs. St. Henry (Ky.) at 2:30 p.m. The final two games Sunday are Covington Catholic-Highlands at 4:15 p.m. and Holmes-Scott County at 6:30p.m. In two statewide polls of Kentucky coaches, Scott County was voted No. 1 and Holmes was voted No. 2 entering the 2008-09 season. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students and available at participating schools. A $15 weekend pass will cover admission both days. All tickets at the door will be $12. Proceeds from the Bluegrass-Buckeye Charity Holiday Classic will be donated to four local charities: Neediest Kids of All, Ruth Lyons Children’s Fund, Queen City Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. A game between local media celebrities will occur at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, before the Holmes-Scott County game. Honorary chairperson for this year’s event is basketball legend Oscar Robertson, who will sign copies of his new book both days of the classic. The games are hosted by Oak Hills High School and Shining Star Sports. The major sponsors are Griffin Industries, Bilz Insurance, Edgewood Electric, Paul Hemmer Industries and Montgomery Inn.
  6. 1 seed vs 4 seed. Boone out last Henry Clay in a thriller at the end. Simon out last Conner in the end as well. Will this be like the first meeting or a different game?
  7. Boone better figure out how to present a more balanced offense like they have a few games this year as against Simon Kenton. Quainoo is a good back, but was pretty much shut down the 1st half by Henry Clay. He moved the ball pretty well in the 3rd before the injury. If not for the 3rd I wonder how many yards he had. Henry Clay's defense just watched him and didn't have to worry about much. Walsh is the QB now, but is more than cabable of getting the job done. To expect a QB to throw the ball when it's a must situation, creates unneeded pressure than if the pass had been in the play calling from the beginning. Boone was out played and coached tonight. Henry Clay will be a force to deal with for Ryle in the 1st round. Hopefully, Boone goes back to the mixing it up as they did earlier in the year.
