I would have to think the coach said something to him to make him just go off like that.

It looks the coach was engaged in conversation or arguement with another player and that another coach was trying to keep them separated when this loser sucker punched him.

Tennessee State football player who hit coach charged with felony - NY Daily News

A Tennessee State football player who was kicked off the team and expelled from school after punching his coach on the sideline has been arrested on a felony assault charge, according to a report.

The Tennessean reported Tuesday that Latrelle Lee has been charged with one count of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury following an altercation with strength coach T.J. Greenstone on Nov. 11.

Video captured the 22-year-old defensive end striking Greenstone twice in the head and knocking him to the ground during the Tigers’ game against Southeast Missouri.

Greenstone had been monitoring the sideline to prevent players who were not in the game from getting too close to the field in order to avoid a penalty.

Footage of the incident showed Greenstone holding Lee in an attempt to move him away from the gridiron before the player broke free and sent his coach to the turf.

Greenstone remained on the ground for several seconds before returning to his feet.

“Once struck about the face by the defendant, the victim fell to the ground and was dazed and somewhat unconscious from the punches,” read the arrest affidavit, per The Tennessean. “The victim has subsequently been having medical difficulties as a result from the altercation.”

Tennessee State expelled Lee, a criminal justice major, from the university two days later. He was booked into jail that night before posting a $7,500 bond, according to the report.

Lee, who did not play in the Nov. 11 game, appeared in two games for the Tigers this season, recording 18 tackles. He played in six games last season, when he made the Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
