Just How Wide-Open is College Basketball This Season?

It's been mentioned a lot this season about how there isn't a dominant team, or a clear cut favorite.

Today, IMO, we got a glimpse into just how wide-open things really are....

7 teams, that's right 7, received 1st place votes in the coaches poll this week.

Has that ever happened before, and if so, I would be shocked if had ever happened this late in the season.

Those teams receiving 1st place votes were:

Villanova

Maryland

Iowa

Kansas

Oklahoma

North Carolina

Michigan State

It's a weird season. Not a lot of supremely talented freshmen playing at the top-level programs and there are some really talented upper classmen at several schools really pushing them forward.

Should make for a heck of a tournament.

What point guard is going to step up as both clutch & a leader? i. e. . . . Kemba Walker, Shabazz Napier, Tyus Jones.

Possibilities: Dunn (Providence), Cousins (Oklahoma), Ulis (UK), Trimble (Maryland), Ferrell (IU), Paige (Carolina)

Personally, I don't believe Kansas or Mich.St. has that PG.

Last bracket has UK as a 4 seed.

I know that. My comment was kind of a Joke. Noway the NCAA ever gives the Cats an 8th seed like they did in 2014. They will either award them with a higher seed as you said or they won't be in at all. That was kind of a Injustice for other teams that UK faced that year. Don't you agree?
