theguru
We just can't have mega threads that stretch the whole off season, we have to find ways to break it up everyone. Carry on...
GrizzlyAdams
All indications thus far are pointing to Minnesota for Cousins. Would be a great fit. Great WRs, great defense, dome stadium. Think @Getslow would approve.

UKMustangFan
Wouldn't it be hilarious if he ends up signing with the Bengals as a backup? It's about 2 more QB signings away from being a likely possibility IMO. Jets are said to be pursuing Bridgewater now that they've lost out on Cousins. Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Case Keenum intends to sign with the Denver Broncos Not many starting QB jobs left.
futurecoach
For all you AJ McCarron guys....The Free Agent market/interest for him is insane right now....Oh wait. :lol2: Definitely wasn't the best year for him to be a free agent. Never do you see a qb like Cousins a free agent. Never do you see a team let a qb who won you 12 games and took you to champuonship game become a free agent. So no doubt those two would be the ones qb needy teams would go after. Then the other teams in need of a qb have top draft picks during a year where it's one of the highest rated qb classes to come out in a long time. So with that and McCarron only having 5 games on tape. Not exactly the best year to be a free agent for him. Imo it's crazy to think how things may be if the Bengals don't fumble the ball with 1 minute left and then the two penalties. They win that playoff game, his role in Cincy may have been different or if anything that playoff win even with no experience would have made him more attractive. It is nice seeing a coach and an organization like the Vikings. Not get all caught up in the one huge season Keenum had. They looked at the whole picture and Zimmer even stated they needed to figure out if that is the qb he is or if he was the qb from 2 years ago who didn't do great. I wish the Bengals and some fans could do that with Dalton. With Dalton everyone always goes back to 2015 and say see if he has a good line, good back, good wrs, good defense they can do well. People can't get past maybe 2015 was the best he can ever be. That Vikings didn't let one year dictate what they did and even though a qb took them to a championship game. They weren't afraid to try to get even better in that area.

I absolutely love it btw. All Pro Guard in his prime. Costs a lot but taking care of Bortles and Fournette is worth it.

Bengal Maniac
McCarron is an interesting FA. Highly unlikely he resigns with the Bengals. He already knows that MB likes AD and that he will be in Cincinnati for a few more years. I look at these places still. Arizona Washington Buffalo Miami Dallas Giants Jets Philly Some of these he may start or at least compete. Some of these are one year away from letting their QB go if he has a bad year. He's gonna leave.
