  1. Again, that was a point of emphasis this year and is a flag in KHSAA now whether we like it or not.
  2. So Tilghman won state with 6 losses. Nobody else has tied that or lost more.
  3. False, and lazy answer. Owensboro, South Warren and Pulaski have had plenty of players.
  4. Owensboro has the most similar situation to BG and could make a few tweaks to make a move. Cov Cath has the head coach in place and is making a steady upward movement as we speak. Highlands just needs another good run of classes to come along and to remember how to play defense.
  5. Is that a problem at Lincoln? Do they have any coaches in the building?
  6. That kind of stuff was a point of emphasis on the rules clinic this year.
  7. In the western playoffs this year lets let every winner of a playoff game take 1 kid of their choosing from the team they just beat to move on with them for the rest of the tournament.
  8. They can hire a quality coach. They can even hire one who will have state championship wins in the future. But they can never hire someone who can come in and make such a dramatic schematic difference. There just isn't that environment out there right now. Beatty was able to change so much x and o wise, culture wise, the admission policies of the school are even different now than when he arrived (don't know if that was influenced by him or not). They are doing so many things at a high level right now whomever they hire cant do much to improve it.
  9. If you are a 3-4 wide passing team you don't dictate to the defense in the run game you take what the D gives you. At the end of a blowout when the jv is in they are not going to be able to run into a loaded box with any success. "Running their offense" might mean having to throw.
  10. I was critical of Love last year. I want to defend him from afar this year. Didn't all of the offensive production graduate? Baker gone, qb gone, who else?
  11. Duffer Duffy graduated from Henderson.
  12. Did Slade Calhoun make it to HC in Tennessee or is he still a coordinator?
  13. Somebody might want to call Julian. KHSAA scoreboard has Highlands with 2 wins that year.
  14. Kid has 7tds and 0 interceptions on the year. That's pretty good for a rb.
  15. None of it for me is about stats. A. Decision making. B. Release speed and arm mechanics C. Arm strength D. Mobilty
  16. Bouchard is the guy, to me, who would be producing like crazy at a different school. If he was at O Cath? wow
  17. They lost by 6 to an undefeated 6a school. Smoked right
  18. You do understand X was playing with the backup qb. He's probably the backup for a reason. The #1 receiver is hurt and out. You have no idea what X passing game is going to look like by the end of the season.
  19. Not having 2 starting inside linebackers is not a recipe for success against a Matney team.
  20. If it turns out that qb#1 parents are trying to sow dissent in the stands they will also find out how interested Beatty is in the frosh.
  21. I see the problem now. There is some magical way that you expect them to be better than 2-0. For your peace of mind and those around you adjust to the fact that you aren't the coach and the team is 2-0 and Beatty isn't worried about 9th grade wins and losses.
  22. Julian and the boys kind of snuck it in under the radar like a lot of things.
  23. Per this more up to date page they do not.
  24. 5a and 6a do not do that.
